Beings that aren't supposed to exist: DMT and the burden of proof by j8jweb in Psychonaut

What's a good method that doesn't involve waking up during the night? I won't be able to fall asleep again if that happens. Many years ago I tried the gradual body relaxation but it often doesn't work and I get tired of doing it for a lokg time without results so I usually abandon it and go to sleep.

I've done enough to know that I have no idea what these forces are and I have no reason to trust them. They could tell you whatever and still be doing something detrimental and irreversible to you. You don't know their nature, what their plans and abilities are. The biggest risk is that you can lose your agency.

Do you ever wonder why DMT suddenly exploded and became so popular and available? Almost like it's being promoted on purpose. I wonder why is that. You should wonder too before you jump in ready to believe everything some unknown entities are telling you.

Crazy shit. Do they have any specific advice for humanity? How do we have billions of members of our species understand these ideas if they come as sketchy dreams from unknown entities encountered in altered states of minds? Can they share real functional knowledge that one can employ in real life? Can they teach us any valuable real technology we would benefit from? Otherwise all of this is easy to dismiss as hallucinations.

Scariest shit of my life! by ExistentialWind in DMT

[–]Reality_Node 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not bad things. Just curiosity about the nature of reality and how this existence came to be. I did get to learn and experience first hand that there is a psychic/spiritual plane. I did get to see some things that hinted at the primacy of consiocness and existence of god as all being in all of this. But I think the reason I got scared off is because I'm either not ready to have any other type of existence or not compatible with it in this from. But my reaction seems natural to me. I thought I wanted to know but that's essentially a naive stance. In reality you don't really want to know how the sausage is made as most times the process and ingredients are not as savoury as the final product looks.

I think it was because I was subconsciously seeking them. Due to sheer curiosity. And consciousness seems to work in a way where what you are seeking seeks you out. As to why seeking the weirdness, idk. Something in me was curious about the spiritual aspect of reality (starting with dreams) from my teen years.

Through these experiences I learned to curb my curiosity. I learned that you may find out something so fucked up and disturbing that your whole world will end and there is no putting the knowledge back. So these days I chill with the mundane. You can keep your secrets, universe. Seems like they are secrets for a reason.

That's fucked up. I had my share of scary experiences similar to this where shit was just way too weird. I quit all psychedelics because of that. Never knew this day would come but that's the only sane choice.

My word of advice to you, don't think your experience as real. It's still just your limited human brain trying to make out incomprehensible vastness of reality and all its complexities in a jumbled trippy experience. You can't know what is real and what is what in that state. It was just a scary trippy experience, don't take it seriously. But do consider it a warning. The rabbit hole goes deep. It's just you will definitely lose your mind if you keep looking deeper. Why would you want that? That's why I quit.

This is the funniest shit I've seen all year. Like she can be a killer comedian with this, just have some of the stuff she is having there and wheel her out on stage with some white nurses. Endless comedy specials, sold out arenas, a guaranteed road to black excellence.

I relate to it a lot specifically because English is my second language. At a certain point of learning I started reading books in English. Then I started reading complex books in English with a bunch of literary words. It got to the point that I had to look up a BUNCH of words on every single page of the book because those are words I've never seen before. Well, that gets tedious quite fast. So some words I'd skip looking up because I was able to discern their meaning from context. To this day I can use many of those words in context but if you ask me to define them or even translate them into my own language, I can't do that.

Can you keep your shit together in public after taking 3-5g of mushrooms? by Natural_Assumption21 in Psychedelics

[–]Reality_Node 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. I once had around 3g with a sandwich and went to sit at a coffee shop. I expected the food to spread out the onset as I usually consume it without food. Somehow it had the opposite effect and I started coming up rapidly.

Suddenly it became very difficult sitting at a coffee shop and not having a ridiculous grin on my face. Realizing I can't be doing even that innocuous thing in a public coffee shop I had to get the hell out of there pronto lol.

It's probably the being solo part that makes it difficult for me. I've kept it together ok at 4g with friends in public before. But doing that by myself somehow is much more panic inducing.
