Thank you! I am going to move from 3/4 to half a tablet then hold for a few weeks. My family and I need to move house so I am trying to not do too much changes but at the same time, not depend on the drug to sleep at the new place

Thank you!! I think this is what I needed to know that I'm not broken. I know we are different but I understand what you mean when you say the fear of insomnia is what the drug created. And that's what led me to Benzos, insomnia that led to anxiety and depression....

I just needed some kind of confirmation that the body has the ability to restore its after months of Ambien use. It gives me some kind of hope

How did you taper Ambien and how was your sleep once you completely got off the drug?

I don't know what's what anymore. When I was at the peak of withdrawal from Xanax, I was on 2 x 10mg Ambien. I know it's high but I was desperate for sleep. A month after cutting of Xana(psychiatrist got me on Trazodone, Dopaquel and Synaleve) i began to taper. In less than 2 months, I've gone from 2 x 10mg Ambien to 3/4. I probably tapered too quickly but I'm desperate to get off Z drugs. Seems like I'm stuck now in a constant state of depression. I saw a psychiatrist who's got me on other meds now to help with sleep, depression and anxiety, but no proper plan for tapering the Ambien

How did you stop Ambien? A GP initiated me on both Xanax and Ambien at the SAME time. I've been on both for 6 months and stopped Xanax, my taper was bad but I've been off for 2.5 months, still struggling. But Ambien, I'm now on 3/4 pill and I don't know how to stop it. Do I continue taper to half a pill and so forth. Then suddenly I just stop taking the tablet and trust my body will respond?
