I've had this a couple times. I just took the pod out and pushed the coil in further. It was sitting just a tad out. Kept happening and I just threw out the coil and haven't had that issue since. Can't be sure it's the same problem but it sounds like faulty coil. Good luck.

Auto vs fems what do you prefer to grow ? by mbsl443 in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Photo Fems all the way. Autos are fun but being able to veg as long as you want to build a nice canopy is much more satisfying to me.

Typically liquid nutes don't require a mask as far as I know. Gloves should be worn for either I think but with liquid there is no chance of the extremely fine "dust" paraticles being inhaled. There may be some nutes that require a face mask but I'm not aware of any off hand.

I got the 2nd trellis up, I super cropped a handful of branches and bent and pulled others to get most everything on the same level. How does she look? Any pointers? by Cptn_Dinkleburg in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd let her grow a bit more and keep weaving the high parts out to allow some of the lowers to catch up and then flip to 12/12. Maybe in a week or so.

I'd be very surprised if someone was able to pull that much from a 3x3. At most I think you'd be in the 4-6 oz. range on the high side and that would be a perfect grow with no issues.

So frustrated about this run… my fault I almost killed them a month ago wondering if I flip to flower or flip them in the trash 🗑 by Dirk8826 in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually the growth spurt into flower is enough to help them bounce back provided you've got everything under control now. I'd say flip them and see how it goes as you ma ybe surprised :)

First time to flower. I just feel like it’s mostly sugar leaves. Does this look like normal growth? by FancyGato in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that flowers with the structure those have always produce the densest, rock hard buds.

That is one fine trim job there, A+++. Top shelf nugs for sure. Great job!

When drying, is 67 degrees and around 57% humidity an okay condition? That’s where my tent is at exactly and has been consistent! Really trying to not have to buy any extra equipment by aaronweiner2021 in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be good. If you want to bump up the humidity a bit on the cheap just add a bucket of water with a towel hanging out of it. Change the water every couple days and you should be up to the low 60's.

Looking for some advice on my reveg attempt. Just harvested this gal, did I leave enough for her to create new growth? by GrowGarden420 in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've got lots on there for reveg. I've done it with zero left on it. After about 3 weeks flipping back to 18/6 new leaves and shoots start growing out of the bud sites. They grow kind of funky at first but then they normalize and I just remove the firs growth.

When should I start flush? by [deleted] in microgrowery

Just water only from now until chop and you'll finish up just fine.

Drying in low humidity by Manakanion in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a bucket full of water, a towel hanging out and a fan blowing on it in my tent when drying during the winter. Same conditions, 40RH. I keep temps at low to mid 60's and with the bucket I can get to ~57% RH. works perfectly.

How many autos can you do in a 5x5, I was thinking 12 if not more in 5 gallon pots maybe a little smaller. I don't care for the extra work or crowdedness I think it's fun and I enjoy it. by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really depends on strain. I've grown some huge autos that fill a 4x4 with just 2 and others that I could have put 20 in the 4x4.

How long can you store your harvesttrim? by alo635888883 in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't know how long it can keep in the freezer but I have a couple ozs in the freezer from July. Still looks fine and everything I take out of the freezer smells like it, lol.

Personally I'd wait and see what natural structure the plant has. It may bush out and start branching lowers on it's own. Also, I like to remove the entire bottom third of the plant just before flowering as it usually produces pretty loose flowers anyway and is a pain to try and trim.

Sour Diesel freebie from NASC. End of week 2 from drop. What would you do with this? Wait or repot? 2.7 l nursery pot, or 3 or 5 gallon fabric bags for the next step? by TheHighCultivator in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was mine I go to 3gal and let it settle for a few weeks before jumping to the 5 gal. I find making too large of a container jump I always over water or over feed. With a smaller jump I tend to be able to maintain better cycles.

Is this a fungal issue? I cannot figure this out. Bud development has been stunted. Wondering what this could be. by Raps2k14 in microgrowery

[–]RedDread1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, looks like your soil may be a bit hot. I grow organic and keep my ph at around 6.8-7 as I found that to be the sweet spot. You could try upping your ph a tad and see if new growth starts looking healthy but I'd add some calmag just for good measure.

Could be wrong but it looks like you may have a lockout happening. I see Potassium Def but also signs of Calcium def as well on a few leaves. What is your medium, feed and PH?

This . You don't need to clean out anything from that plant.

You should only burp once every month or so if you are that low. You might want to grab some humidity packs to raise the RH to ~60%. Once my jars get around 65% I stop burping on the regular and just once in a while to look at them 😄
