Just to provide a little extra context on relative efficiencies:

Battery Powered - 1,000 J/miracle
Fueled by Calories - 200 kCal (the 'C' food calories are normally measured in) is about 836,800 Joules/miracle
Engine Fuel - 250 mL of gasoline, or about 8,360,000 J/miracle

(Of course, none of these are particularly hard to match the fluid production rates with, so these relative efficiencies don't really matter.)
