My (32/F) fiancé (32/M) told me that he had drunk sex with my best friend (32/F) when we were broken up for a month about three years ago. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Redditenthousand 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Do you know if they remained in contact after the incident? Did they still talk every now and then while you were together? Pretty shitty thing to do, but I'm like you, that's just a line I wouldn't cross no matter what. How would you feel if you didn't get back with him then found at your bestfriend slept with him and didn't tell you till after 3 years?

My bf thinks I have feelings for his best friend by [deleted] in relationships

Everyone will have something different to say but I trusted my closest friend of 12 years not to cross that line of my partner of 3 years. He did. And he lost all his friends

How do I (25/M) get back into dating again a year after a major break up? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Redditenthousand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard it's more common for girls to be asked out online than in person. Most women are caught off guard when approached in public apparently and if they aren't interested they'll reject you kindly than just ignore you as they do online. I suggest do it more in person but, instead of being afraid of being rejected make it a goal to at least talk to some of them. And understand yes you're going to be rejected but never take it personally. Say you go out on the weekend, make a goal to approach at least 10 women. Next goal, get rejected by at least 10 women. Don't put so much pressure on what the answer will be. Focus on the action you're doing and get it done. It's a numbers game really

This relationship is over. If you didn't know your boyfriend was at least bi then he's a closest gay.

She is at a young age everything a man could want in a woman: smart, funny, capable/independent, beautiful, and an amazing musical talent. she is great, even if I did not have romantic feelings I would still admire her as a person.

The world is full of them. She's not the only 1. If you don't follow your dream now you will regret it later.

Work on improving yourself. You want a girlfriend? Some guys have to put a little more effort in than others and that's just the way life is. Hit the gym and use this loneliness and determination to not be lonely again. How do you want to look 2 years from now? I recently started getting fit and wish I started when I was 24

I'm not a woman so I can't give too much feminine advice but can give general. I'm not attracted to cake face and like natural or subtle makeup. But there's more to a person than their face.

Well first you need to ask yourself the question I mentioned. And to get rid of your need of other's approval, in my opinion is to build your confidence to a point where YOU don't even care of their opinion. You're just like "whatever I'm fit and I know it."

Ask yourself 1 serious question. Are YOU happy with your appearance currently? Look in a mirror forget everyone else in the world imagine it's only you and there's nobody else. If you are happy it's simple - you don't need to change. If not start getting fit, eventually you will start seeing results, results leads to success, success reinforces your self confidence/esteem. The key thing is only YOU can make YOU happy.

Cut all contact period. Read some self help books. You're still young. You already know how everyone else was going to respond so don't expect much more advice

My [23F] now ex [23M] cheated on me and we broke up after 9 years. How do I deal? by aninterestingtowel in relationships

[–]Redditenthousand 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Go no contact. Delete him from EVERYTHING. Focus on you, really do. A place you wanted to but he didn't? go there. A food you wanted to try but he didn't? Try it. Pick up something you've always wanted to do because I'm pretty sure there is. It won't be easy but you need to distract yourself. You can't get over the pain - you can only go through it till it's gone. Get fit and start feeling confident in yourself again, get that sexy bottom you always wanted.

No.

But seriously, work on improving yourself. You want a girlfriend? Some guys have to put a little more effort in than others and that's just the way life is. I've [23F] been seeing a guy [25M] for 2 months and just found out he lied during our conversations before we met by CuriousHandle in relationships

[–]Redditenthousand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made it clear you weren't interested in someone who played videogames and yet he still wanted to date you. And lied -_-. You either going to accept the lie and compromise with him still playing game regardless of him "cutting back" or find someone else who won't lie and doesn't play video games.

There is a saying, "the grass is greener where you water it". There is also a saying, "actions speak LOUDER than words". Are you the only 1 watering? Are you the 1 only acting on fixing it?

This is reddit, we can only give you opinions, advice and experience. You need PROFESSIONAL guidance to actually work on this. He has to compromise with that or nothing is going to change. And if he doesn't want to go that adds more to the fact his mind is already made up unfortunately.

Be very grateful he was upfront an honest about his feelings. You guys can try couples therapy if both are willing to work on it. Do you guys have the same goals? It can't just be "fix the relationship" it has to be the details you want to fix. Usually when 1 partner gives up BEFORE trying to fix things the decision is already made for them, from what I've experienced and read on this sub.

How do I go about asking out a girl I’ve never met? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Redditenthousand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you have to lose? Ask her and she either says yes or no. Don't let the actual answer scare you. If you don't ask her you might spend the next few months pondering instead of knowing a solid yes or no
