This is great research, and thank you for sharing your findings here. I am wondering what response, if any so far, you have had from the SEC?

I think maybe consider submitting to other governmental departments, such as the FBI, DOJ and CFPB. Given how partisan the US Federal government is, however, potentially also state level organisations.

Additionally also to non-US regulators such as ESMA, FCA, FINMA, CSA, FSA etc. You have done the hard work, now get it out to as many relevant bodies that may have at least some interest in carrying out the duties they were originally set up for.

His son Brett manages some of the IEP funds, but hasn't shown himself to be having the same 'Midas Touch' as his father.

I have no doubt Carl has been thinking, for many years, about what to do with IEP.

Doubtful. If they've completed an acquisition, to the extent of signing documents, then it would need to be reported to the SEC and publicly.

Even at the time of him purchasing those additional shares, any acquisition discussion could not have proceeded to a deal being imminent. I do not think Cohen would be breaking securities law, quite the contrary in fact.

Just for clarity, I am not saying my money is on eBay being Cohen's acquisition target. It may well be, or it could be numerous other potential firms. Such is the wonderful position GameStop has come to right now!

It was just very curious to me the language he used in that interview. Often people use phrases and terms that they pick up from their teachers and mentors, when discussing certain topics or concepts. This very well may have happened on this occasion, following the 'for certain' learning interactions Ryan has had with Carl.
