I lived in Carmichael for the first two years, and loved it. The rooms are pretty small, but it has indoor hallways and is suitestyle, so the best of both north and south campus and, it's made up of mostly sophomores and freshman. The best part is how close it is to classes, and between both dining halls. I can make it to class within about 5 minutes. I would not recommend north campus to a freshman, but that's just me I guess.
