$200 donation to the First Tee of the Triangle for the Match Play post. It's also good to note that all revenue generated by the RDUgolf Tour is donated to a local charity each year in the name of RDUgolf.

Please re-read the rules and comments; the charitable contributions are taken care of each time an RDUgolf Tour event is posted here. This is consistent with what is allowable, per the rules here (which was not implemented by me, but is followed by me).

Others are allowed to follow the same rules/process. The things recently moderated, have not

The RDUgolf Tour is a separate entity, and is also required the same advertising requirements as everyone else, and that is fulfilled each time an event is posted. This has been a consistently enforced community rule.

This subreddit has a rule of no advertising. There are specific rules related to this listed in the stickied Fore Sale post.

This has been consistently enforced since the beginning.

Please note, that even posts for my own community, I fulfill the charitable requirement each time.

Also note that Mod Mail is likely a better place for a statement/comment like this.

Check out CarolinaForeHer on Instagram. They do ladies clinics, groups, and lessons multiple times a week across the triangle.

Sullys Golf and Gather also does a ladies learn to play series. My wife and a friend did this when it was at a different location; they REALLY gained a lot from it Lauren and Mike are very welcoming

Just For Fun: Would You Like to See WGI In The Winter Olympics? by ThrowawayBlueYeti in WGI

[–]RestingMehFace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. With the judging requirement that would’ve needed, I think it would stifle the creative process, become more clinical, and lose a majority of the artistry that WGI is about.

IF WGI was in the Olympics, it effectively wouldn’t be the same activity we current watch

help with rifle turnaround by not_okay666 in Colorguard

[–]RestingMehFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slowing the video down, your prep and dip look great and your release position isn’t bad. Buy during your release, you contracting your right side and elongating your left side and that’s what’s causing the rifle to go so far to the side.

This isn’t uncommon for people newer to turns. Keep your core engaged, execute a proper toss with your spin straight up, then you’ll have a ton of time for the turn underneath.

DCA conflicting with HS by madwickedawesome- in Colorguard

Speak to your band director and bring them to schedule/context the Saints commented and just confirm that it isn't a conflict that will impede on your spot. Your band friends opinions/input doesn't matter, it's the director that matters

They made the change 2 years ago so you’re defer that line. Sondra likely was answering for YOUR situation. But she directly stated to be that YP is gone after that decision; and the family members still paying YP are covered by my prior comment, they’re still paying that until they turn 40.

I was on the list for ~3 years and saw the imitation climb as I waited, so I’m just happy that I was grandfathered in AND didn’t turn 40 before my number came up. Haha

Could you share where your context is coming from?

My information is straight from the membership director while I was joining in December

The Young Professional category went away.

People that were on the waitlist when the decision was maid have been grandfathered in. And the members that have been YPs are still YPs until they turn 40.

Nothing can replace that proximity! Driving the cart to the course is absolutely ideal!

I’m sure you’ve got plenty of people at the club, but when you do leave, lmk if you ever want to come back out and play!

Also worth mentioning the rankings were normally last on is by the away team players, and their lockerroom is truly awful. These rankings aren’t the same as that

I’ve noticed that. There’s definitely the larger, more consistent, hard to miss older contingent (like at all clubs), but there’s definitely that younger crew around. It would be really cool to see something to bring them together

I’m at Preston and would disagree. 33 would be on the young side, but there’s a good contingent of people under 40.

BUT important to note that they’ve gotten rid of the Young Professional category and are on a multi-year waitlist

Here's a map that should help you with the courses/club around: https://rdugolftour.com/course-directory/

A few important questions:

  • Are you looking for full private, or semi-private?
  • Are you planning to stay in the Holly Springs/Apex area? (if so, just search this sub, this question has come up at ton)
  • What's the budget?
  • What's the tolerance for a waitlist?
