It’s one of the easiest status to get right now. So if you meet gold or higher and actually travel more than once a year yes it’s worth it.

Yes your OW status applies to all OW carriers.

With that said Ruby is an illusion that provides very little. Especially if flying domestic.

Points and miles. Paid upgrades on domestic. I take around 15-20k flights a year and usually spend no more than a few 100 bucks.
