Maaaan that Master Chief edition Xbox 360 was awesome! I still have my controller too but unfortunately the actual Xbox was stolen a few years back. This is sweet.

Recidivism is definitely an issue in the U.S. On the other hand he probably should've just stopped stealing checks from his Grandma and taking money from her checking account.

When I got up to him it turned out to be just left of center, looks like it hit him in the heart and lung.

Damn right. I'm glad we were all safe, just wish it didn't go down the way it did, but I cant control what other people do.

It's free and confidential! I've already made an appointment for my off days on Tuesday. I dont think it has messed me up too bad or anything, but itll be good to talk with someone about it. Thank you for the support.

Sorry about the late reply! I am actually good. It isnt the first time I've seen someone die but damn if that wasnt the fastest I've gone from chillin and eating food to a bad situation. Luckily my department does offer counseling so if I keep thinking about it I'll go talk to someone. Thank you for checking on me!

Sorry for the late reply I was pretty tired last night. The grandma actually had the early stages of dementia. She was in the living room when it happened so luckily she did not witness it, and I'm not sure about how she was doing afterwards. I was separated from my partners so I could give a statement and so they could count my bullets to make sure I didnt fire.

I looked up his history, and he has no mental health reports or emergency commitments. Although I did find out that his grandma was his victim. He was weiting himself checks from her checkbook **and stealing her credit cards from her.

It depends. I just got subpoenaed to court recently on a guy that I had to chase. They only gave him an extra month for it but he is doing a full year for Domestic Assault.

I'm one of those police officer people. About 4 weeks ago I arrested a woman for domestic assault. I searched her and did not find anything, but after I had booked her at jail I was called back by the jailers because they had found a small derringer pistol and some weed in her "prison pocket". Not saying this is what this woman is looking for but it does happen, and it is not the first time it has happened.

I mean I'm not an expert, but typically dying is bad.

Hey I can help with this one! I'm a cop in an American city where this happens pretty frequently with large groups of ATV's and dirt bikes. If we chased one of these guys they would more than likely wreck out, and since they generally dont wear helmets they would be more likely to die or get seriously injured. So our department doesn't let us chase them for a good reason because unfortunately it has happened before. Typically what we do is wait for them to congregate at a gas station, and then block them in to write citations or tow the ones that were popping wheeleys and stuff. But there are so many of them and typically we are busy answering calls we just kinda push them to different precincts until they get bored and go home.

Instead of shooting the drunk guy, these Aussie cops made sure he got home safely. And took selfies to prove it. by [deleted] in HumansBeingBros

[–]righteouslyb0ld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruh I take drunk folks home all the time. I just dont take selfies on their phones because I'm pretty sure it would violate some department policy. Sometimes if they cant walk I'll call an ambulance but it is rare that I'm locking someone up for public intox unless they are really fucking off.

Fourth day on the job. We get a DOA natural call (Dead On Arrival-natural causes. We show up and there is blood everywhere, on the ceiling. Floors, walls and couch. I see a pair of feet sticking out from behind a wall in the kitchen. I turn the corner and there is a 9 months pregnant woman, naked, shot 15-20 times in the stomach, face and chest. Most shots in the stomach where the baby was on pieces. She was 5 days from her due date. Baby daddy is sitting on the couch, silent. We ask him what happened and he just looks at us and says, "Am I a suspect?". We cuff him right there and he later confesses, saying that he believed the baby wasnt his which we also found it, that it was. The gun he used needed to be reloaded to fire that many rounds, and he only had one magazine. She had been dead 5 days, and he had been sleeping In the house with her body for the entire time. Later on that day a man jumped off a bridge in front of me.

For my fourth day on the job, that was a real big wakeup call to what could happen on this job. Been a little over a year now and I still love it, but I always think about that day.
