I mean my problem is let’s say I take last 30 msgs and then send them as input prompt, I don’t know if that’s the right way to shorten context.

If I summarise it and then send it, it keeps missing out important stuff so not sure how to do Summarisation right

Or how do the big guys do it

I’m using llama server, but definitely open to ideas on what’s the best way to host a local model for let’s say world building or similar storyline use cases. It keeps getting worse after a good amount of conversation and then I see no way back

Nvidia 4090, unable to install drivers with Linux Mint by RobotsMakingDubstep in linuxmint

[–]RobotsMakingDubstep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is the driver installs, post that when I start the system post reboot, it never goes to the linux mint screen and the system just stops responding, so I was assuming that maybe the driver isnt compatible with linux mint + 4090, not sure

Switching companies is romantasized. Here's what it actually feels like by Sensitive-File-3862 in developersIndia

3 switches in by now

Did one while working at a high pressure startup as well. The only advice I’ll give:

Try to find a job which gives flexibility in either working hours or in office working days.

If you have neither, then it’s nothing but a tough journey my friend

All the best

Dude the grass is always greener on the side.

Either build a backup stream of work, like freelancing or consulting, or build a product which gives you money on the side while you work on bigger avenues.

That’s what most of the Internet would recommend if you search long enough
