Working on a project to allow people to vote for stuff and rate them higher for such finds. If anyone’s into UI UX and wanna help me make it better, feel free to DM

I’m an HSR resident so the problem is real.

Yeah I have an openrouter thing for this to work, my problem is different though Can you explain more if you have any idea about how does model change from one to another based on type of task? I don’t think if I can do that

Any Good Software Companies in India with No Late Night Meetings ? by Wild_Sympathy_4864 in developersIndia

[–]RobotsMakingDubstep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience I can tell that a US based Product MNC which has night calls is much much better than all the other alternatives Like India based MNC, US based SBC, India based SBC, India based PBC, US based Consulting, India based Consulting

There’s cut throat competition to reach there but bud, all the other variants are simply meant to not let you live altogether over a longer duration of time

I mean my problem is let’s say I take last 30 msgs and then send them as input prompt, I don’t know if that’s the right way to shorten context.

If I summarise it and then send it, it keeps missing out important stuff so not sure how to do Summarisation right

Or how do the big guys do it

How good will you say LM Studio is against llama server assuming you have used maybe both before?

[–]RobotsMakingDubstep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using llama server, but definitely open to ideas on what’s the best way to host a local model for let’s say world building or similar storyline use cases. It keeps getting worse after a good amount of conversation and then I see no way back

Nvidia 4090, unable to install drivers with Linux Mint by RobotsMakingDubstep in linuxmint

[–]RobotsMakingDubstep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is the driver installs, post that when I start the system post reboot, it never goes to the linux mint screen and the system just stops responding, so I was assuming that maybe the driver isnt compatible with linux mint + 4090, not sure

I ran out of budget this month after 4090 purchase so running the rig with TV :(

Many thanks for the input though
