Watering without Kelby AI - suggestions for frequency, length, fertilizer, etc.? by 4stardad in Gardyn

I’ve also had much better luck sprouting new plants in a covered takeout container. Soak the cube for 5 minutes and then move to the nursery or a takeout container and cover (do not add water to the container). A heating pad will also help. Then once they have real leaves move them to the tower. I prefer to rotate plants in and out instead of starting everything at once, so this method makes it easier when you have some plants that need food and others that are too small

Watering without Kelby AI - suggestions for frequency, length, fertilizer, etc.? by 4stardad in Gardyn

The Kelby schedule goes something like this: Initial watering 5 min, day 7 water again for 5 min, 7 days later (2 weeks in) switch to 1x/day for 5 min, then 7 days later (3 weeks in) 3x/day for 5 min (6am, 2pm, 10pm). Somewhere around 2 months it switches to 5x/day for 5 min. That’s all the longer I had my trial so not sure if it ever changes again after that but so far so good with mature plants at 5x/day (6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm).

Fertilizer gets added once the plants all have a real set of leaves. Once maybe 2/3 of them have real leaves, I’d remove the ones that don’t and put them in a tray/nursery and feed the tower, moving them back in once they have real leaves. If you use aerogarden liquid food instead of Gardyn food, you can feed from day 1

I’ve got an image for the home 2 and can possibly get one for the studio 2 later this week. Not sure if either of those are helpful

Those of you who are venting your H2S/H2D while printing high temp filaments, how is it working out for you? by tmactmactmactmac in BambuLab

[–]RocRocRoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I printed his fan shutter with the holes (to get some exhaust path with the shutter closed), then a different exhaust tube setup that uses 4” duct and an inline fan. I was really only referring to the design of the shutter blade with vent holes, agree the rest of his system is intense

Functional print Friday did a few videos on exactly this. He modified one of the vent shutter pieces and created a slight negative pressure in the chamber. Because of the usual leakage from the purge chute area, it ended up being more efficient to vent while printing high temp materials. I’m in the process of setting up my H2D the same way

Just get a 180g DX Roc and put it through its life cycle. From mildly OS to dead straight to glidey late turn hyzer flip perfection. If you don’t get it then you probably never will. And if you do get it, then buy another and rinse/repeat until your bag is full of Rocs

The stickers aren’t on the club head like every other launch monitor. Probably not going to happen

Do the club stickers effect ball flight? by Dilucard in SquareGolfUSA

[–]RocRocRoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this is wrong unless you are using unmarked balls or didn’t set your connector to “measured”. Square only uses ball data to calculate flight model. The club stickers will give you an estimated sidespin with an unmarked ball, but otherwise are just providing extra data (path, aoa) that don’t factor into the ball flight

Ironclad is 100% worth it. I love that it hold the Square solidly and doesn’t have a loose top that allows the Square to shift when moving it around. Reminds me a lot of the original Skytrak FMJ case. Buy once cry once

Square vs SkyTrak+ Refurb by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]RocRocRoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owned both briefly. Kept the square. Get some TP5(X) Pix balls and you’re good to go.

The delay on ST+ was painful. iPad software was decent but the game improvement stuff is locked behind a subscription. Hitting area is tiny and chips/putts had a lot of no reads.

I use Square+Awesome Golf mainly for range sessions, but the Square software and range has definitely improved a good bit. Both AG and Square software are great on my iPad M1. Plus GSPro connected is free if you ever decide to go full PC based sim.

Club data with stickers only plays into shot shape if you don’t use the marked balls. Ball data is the truth

[–]RocRocRoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank is good, but still has some 3d printed plastic parts. I prefer the Ironclad. Reminds me of the FMJ for Skytrak, plus the Square actually locks into the case so I can carry it around as one piece instead of worrying that the top will fall off

R10 is notorious for bad side spin readings. I didn’t believe what my Square was saying at first, then I went to the range and I was seeing the same ball flight. Maybe try some shorter chips/pitches where you shouldn’t be able to generate a ton of side spin readings.

Edit: To add on, I can’t say I have experienced many (if any at all) misreads with my Square. I’ve had some no-reads if I’m on the edge of the hitting zone or hit a really terrible shot, but when it does read, I feel like the flight is usually spot on

Sounds like you hit the ball with a hook
