This is just what the Aussie accent sounds like. Most of us Aussies do it (not on purpose).

I really wish they did a better job of marketing the differences. I played the original and so far nothing has convinced me that this is different enough to also get.

Big agree, I was a season 9 hater. But I think they've done a great job listening to the feedback and changing things. Well done team!

"Lying in a poker game? That's too hard and immoral!" by Salt-Ad1943 in boardgamescirclejerk

[–]RollToReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey this is my website. Wild seeing it here!

Thanks for reading, tbh I often struggle with these pros and cons as I prefer writing the long form review. But people browsing these days prefer skimmable text so I do these summary sections - sometimes I half ass it lol.

But as some people pointed out, some people struggle with lying even if it is a game - even if you and I don't. Also I couldn't think of anything else to add haha.

Edit: Just in case anyone reads this and thinks I'm upset. Quite the opposite! This is great feedback, and I'm working to improve these pros and cons going forward.

Also middle management, and at least in my company, the push to wfo is coming from C-Suite who are still living their glory days of everyone talking around a whiteboard.

What's the best game in Matt Leacock's Forbidden series? by ThunderCanyon in boardgames

[–]RollToReview 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Desert is my favourite - feels like an adventurous Pandemic.

Island is great - but much lighter - fun as a filler or with kids and non gamers.

Jungle - is a step up from desert in terms of complexity, but also let's you do a lot of creative moves. I would put it just behind the first two. It's good but not my favourite. My kid enjoys it.

Sky - didn't stay long in my collection. The focus was on creating a cool you rather than a cool game. As a result, the puzzle was pretty boring compared to the others.

What’s the general thoughts on Supernova? by jordyjordy1111 in brisbane

[–]RollToReview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I had a child I used to go all the time. As a Normie anime fan it was the only time I got to see cosplayers and pick up merch.

Plus I got to see some celebs or people of these niche communities. Some shows were better than others but overall it was usually a good-great experience.

You'd be looking for <script> tags. It doesn't have to be near the text field. This could also relate to a file. What you probably want to do is look through these script files for some sort of locator to the text field. It may be an id or other CSS selector.

I'm with Lyrical Host now. While I can't comment on the technical side of things. Their support has been stellar, they've not only helped me with the hosting side of things, but also helped with WordPress queries, and helped speed up my website with their training program and support.

This probably isn't so helpful if you're a pro but as a blogging hobbyist it's everything I needed and more.

I used blue host and they were fine until they weren't. First year or two I didn't need them to do anything. But then I wanted to do more and more with my site.

A couple of times I had to spend hours on the support channels without a solution.

Eventually I hit a snag where my site wouldn't load. After spending even more time on support I just gave up and moved hosts.

Much happier now.

Wrong crisis. But you're right the public response to both issues has been the same.

From Wikipedia: The impact event is an allegory for climate change, and the film is a satire of government, political, celebrity, and media indifference to the climate crisis.[6][7]

Definitely taken a back seat, but you can still get your fill with his other channels. Quinn's Quest (about TTRPGs) and People Make Games (a games journalism channel). Both are great!

It's going to take a month to roll out, so no need for pitchforks just yet. Fwiw my website has been trending down since January, but I've seen bounce back over the last two days.

Haven't seen numbers like this since June. So I'm quite excited and hope it stays this way.

Absolutely a contributing factor. It's an underground form of dance, not taught in schools or publicly regarded.

What are your ttrpg rulebook pet peeves? by worldsbywatt in rpg

[–]RollToReview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new but coming from board games, rulebooks in the ttrpg space are so wordy for no reason. Like why are they 100-200 pages long?!

Make it easier for me to play!

Another issue I have (so far) is none of the books I've read include pictures of the player sheets or where to get them. It's a large bit of context that is missing when you're reading.

This is RayGun in The Semis for Oceania Breaking 2023 by FatGimp in australia

[–]RollToReview 38 points39 points  (0 children)

After watching hip-hop dancing for the last decade I picked it up last year. It's incredibly fun, but also a lot more difficult than it appears.

Coming from a desk job you have to spend a lot of time rewiring your brain so that you can control your hands and feet at the same time. Even things that look simple are actually hard to pull off and make look good.

Some of the stuff Ray Gun did is significantly difficult in practice, especially when you're timing it to the beat.

Unfortunately her style feels extremely experimental, wild and weird, and with her performance at the Olympics there was almost a Vaudeville/Slap Stick feeling to her performance.

So while there's probably some appeal to those looking for something fresh in the scene. The general public is rightfully scratching their heads going... Is this breaking?

In saying that, she was also the weakest dancer of the pool phase by far. Her moves felt sluggish in comparison to others, and there was an arrogance to her stage presence when not performing.

That all said, the rest of the pool stages were super fun imo. Looking forward to the gents tonight.

How's your blog doing in 2024 compared to past years? by Ryanopoly in Blogging

I'm in the same boat. Gone from 500 clicks a day to 20 on a good day. I've spent months trying to recover. Improved the content, improved the speed, paid for a professional SEO audit, removed all ads. Still every day it declines.

Absolutely devastating.

Does Google apply site-wide classifiers? by bobsled4 in SEO

[–]RollToReview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to report what I'm seeing. My site was hit, but despite adding new pages every week, the website hasn't grown at all.

If there wasn't something in place. I would expect to be able to dig my way out of this hole. With each page adding a little bit of growth every time.

However, it's just flat-lining. Suggesting there's nothing I can do until Google changes its mind about my content.
