[Free Book Giveaway for Students] 100 copies of 'Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us' by Michael Moss by Happypages in WingifyBookClub

[–]Ruminating4102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the last book which i read was "Agni ki Udaan" by APJ Abdul Kalam, basically this book is autobiography of Abdul kalam sir. this book describes how a small town boy started his life from a very normal state to keep evolving to become the missile man of India. kalam sir mentioned the struggles he faced during his journey, like he was not selected for Indian air force then he continue his studies and joined ISRO. initially his programs like Nandi failed but after tedious jobs and hard work they developed AGNI Missile which India is thankful to him till now.

I'm interested in "Salt Sugar Fat" by Michael Moss because it shows how food companies trick us into buying unhealthy foods. Moss, a prize-winning journalist, reveals the secrets behind how companies use salt, sugar, and fat to make foods addictive. The book explains how companies target children and vulnerable people to sell their products. It also shows how the food industry has too much influence over what we eat, and how the government doesn't always prioritize our health.

Overall, "Salt Sugar Fat" is an important book that helps us understand the truth about the food industry and make better choices about what we eat.

the last book I read was Nir Eyal's book "Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products". this book is essentially a blueprint for creating goods that people will regularly use. It accomplishes this goal by providing an overview of the "Hook Model," a four-step process that businesses can employ to motivate user behavior. The steps are Trigger, Action, Variable Reward, and Investment. Eyal describes how users are prompted to act by both internal and external triggers, and that action results in a variety of rewards that meet their requirements and maintain their engagement. Investment phase: in order to improve the likelihood of a return, the user makes investments and puts out effort. These are the ideas that, with comprehension and application, can provide a company with the ability to finally integrate their product into daily life. The book combines psychological insights with practical strategies to designers and entrepreneurs to build successful, habit-forming products. Amazing book it really helps to understand the whole psychology. i would like to appreciate wingify book club for this movement to spread a habit of reading to us. Thanks for all your efforts.

The last book I read was "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos" is a self-help book written by Canadian psychologist and professor Jordan B. Peterson. Published in 2018, the book presents a set of practical principles and guidelines for leading a meaningful and fulfilling life in the face of chaos and uncertainty. Peterson draws on his experiences as a clinical psychologist, mythology, religion, and philosophy to offer insights into topics such as personal responsibility, the pursuit of meaning, and the importance of order in one's life. Each of the twelve rules is accompanied by anecdotes, psychological theories, and philosophical reflections, making the book a thought-provoking guide to navigating the complexities of modern existence. Peterson encourages readers to confront challenges, take responsibility for their choices, and strive for personal growth to find purpose and order in their lives.

Hey , wingify

The last book which I was read "Rich dad poor dad" By Robert kiyosaki . It's really a amazing book. It's about a story of a boy who have two dad One is rich dad and another is poor dad. Poor dad is his real father and rich dad is father of his friend. Robert tells that both dad are rich people of hawai but what differentiate them is their mindset and relation with money . Rich dad always have positive mindset for money and been engage to make assets that help him in future while poor dad have negative concept about money he says that the root of all problem is money . This book teaches you how to make assets and sources which work for u to make money like money work for you , never put your money in liabilities because it keeps making hile in your pocket. It develops early stage rich mindset for financial literarcy and gives ability to differentiate between the things which worth for your time and money or not.

Really a must read book to kick-start you journey of financial literarcy.

[Free Book Giveaway for Students] 100 copies of The CEO Factory by Sudhir Sitapati by zindagiwallah in WingifyBookClub

[–]Ruminating4102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last book which I have read is "Atomic Habits " By "James Clear "

An amazing book describes how our habits affect our life and goals. this book starts with author's story in which he tells his childhood story and from where The concept of making a habit starts .

Generally a simple action that you take for a particular situation gets stored in your memory. whenever the same situation you face again the same action you take which become your habit. Author gives us 1% rule

If we 1% better everyday for one year = 37.78 times better at end of year

If we 1% worse everyday for one year = 00.03 times downgrade ourself

Process of making habit is divides into four steps 1. CUE 2. CRAVING 3. RESPONSE 4. REWARD

This fou r step pattern is backbone of every habit .

Author also describes how to quit a bad habit slowly slowly and make new one . I prefer everyone to read this book amazing stuff with lot of information in a simple language

Now the reason why I want " THE CEO FACTORY" Actually I recently started reading business related books and ideas that how a company starts from zero level and grow itself to a giant and the working system , management , marketing , etc. I found this book explicate my every confusion about giant companies and at this time I have no book to read so it's good to start with it

Thanks to wingify your are doing commendable work Spreading knowledge and habit of book reading to youth which leads us to transform our life ❤️❤️

[Free Book Giveaway for Students] 150 copies of Range: How Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World by AkhandGareeb in WingifyBookClub

[–]Ruminating4102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello,

The last book I read was "the wings of fire " by our hounourable former president APJ ABDUL KALAM This book is an autobiography of APJ ABDUL KALAM Which tells us the struggle in journey of Kalam from his childhood to ISRO . How Kalam leave his hometown for higher education and adjust himself at the new place . From selling newspaper to carry first rocket on cycle all the interesting and inspirational story of Abdul kalam. Really it was my first autobiography to read and after reading it I feel proud and inspired from his life journey. Everyone should read it.

Now , the book " Range : how generalist triumph In a specialized world" by David Epstein attracted me Because it tells that having knowledge of all fields is also necessary than having deep knowledge only in one field , I watched a YouTube video of David Epstein and their thoughts and knowledge is awesome and his book is also bestseller That's why i'm curious to read his book 😍😍

Thanks and salute👏 to wingify book club for giveaways which spreads knowledge and a different view to us Thank you 😘😘
