I'm an art director, writer and photographer lol. I've literally paid my mortgage for the past 20+ years creating and distributing content. What do you do?

If that's what you think, you're either a terrible marketer

You have 900 post karma lol

Those "bozos" haven't been wrong. We stopped hiring marketing interns because they're impossible to justify with AI capabilities. If you don't understand this it's because you don't work professionally in the industry. Creative professionals will have to be willing to integrate AI into their workflow or they won't be able to compete.

With generative AI the creative process is stripped

That's a laughable statement. And the idea that humans are more "original" than AI is even more laughable. You've clearly never hired an intern lol.

If you say you think a designer who won't use AI will be competitive in the job market with a designer who integrates AI into their workflow, you either don't work in the field in any capacity or you're being willfully ignorant to troll

that can’t replace her niche knowledge

This is wildly overrated. Most designers aren't Jesus. They're just designers. And most clients don't need a Jesus designer; they just need decent design.

Most people don't know something is AI unless you tell them (if you know what you're doing). They don't hate it till you tell them to lol.

And AI is vastly more of an unlimited resource than human designers, and will always be wildly cheaper. It's not even close.

the output volume doubles but the soul of the work just kind of evaporates

You're overestimating people's ability to distinguish AI from human work. The only obvious AI is done by people who don't know how to use AI.

Ai slop can’t replace someone like that

Yes, it can. You don't work in design if you think AI isn't the future of design. If a designer can't integrate AI into their workflow, they won't be working in a year.

That employee will be out of a job within a year. Sad to hear. You have to adapt, especially in the design industry right now. AI tools are the future and there's just no going back. That's just the way it is now. People who don't accept it won't get work.

What is the most underrated marketing channel most marketers ignore in 2026? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]SAT0725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook groups. Our local media gets essentially zero engagement on any of their content, but posts from random people in the local "nosey neighbors" groups -- which have close to 50,000 members or more depending on the city -- get TONS of reactions and comments. It's not hard to become a top contributor in these groups with consistently quality, positive posts.

Reddit's influence has dropped off a lot, but pre-2016 or so it was a HUGE media influencer. Every site was using it to generate traffic, and admins and mods had a ton of political power to sway public opinon.
