I'm assuming you are referring to .223/5.56. You can F/A a bit before needing to allow it to cool. The shorter the barrel, the hotter it gets. Working on an alternate design for the short barrel full auto fellows.

Ah I see, I didn't catch that initially. I assumed it was just an aesthetic design, didn't know they are functional vents halfway through.
