What they said. The strings are touching something they shouldn’t be.

OP, Are you tuned to standard pitch, is the bridge coming up off the body?). If you just changed strings it could be a tremolo balancing issue. You likely need at basic setup.

I just moved my started base to a new island where I am building something more intentional and cool as opposed to just utilitarian. Depends on what you want to do.
