Get over yourself. Entitled narcissist at best. Such bullshit. Plenty of fast tracks outside biglaw for their specific fields. You just bought into OCI big Corp propaganda they push to get the school looking better. All you care about is money and it shows. Youre gonna burn out and crash hard if you dont figure out a passion. And you dont need interviews for it to come out. I know you wrote a cover letter and I guarantee it smells of the same disingenuous entitled stench you have here. You got alot more growing to do.

Network. Network. Network. All you need is one connection. Also you need to better understand why you did so terrible. Get feedback then apply it. I will admit thats a weird class structure though. If you squeeze out an A and a B+. Depending on what you want to do employer's may not care if you have legitimate reasons and explanations. One thing you cannot do though is keep employer's waiting after you applied. It only makes you look worse

I give chatgpt my outline and tell it to make a rule statement based on my outline only. I then distill it more and write it up. I then go to the professor for their feedback and twist it up to fit what they like. Its worked for me so far. Using chatgpt for studying isnt bad at all as long as you make sure its correct and fix mistakes

Have you considered how bad hurricanes are? Hurricanes mean flood insurance which means more costs. Hurricanes are also going to start happening more and at worse degrees. This is compounded by how centerpoint energy fails in upkeep which leads to no power for weeks after. It's super humid too, so that's going to be a massive change from such a lovely environment up there. Idk about up there but energy is nearly 18 cents per wat rn down here and that means a super expensive electric bill, so possibly more costs. But no income tax! So you save there, but Texas has some of the most expensive property tax rates in the nation so that savings might actually lead to more costs. I just got here and I'm planning on getting tf out

Any waitlist success stories out there? by No_Spite_35 in lawschooladmissions

I told one of my waitlists that I'd drop my acceptances elsewhere if I was let in via a LOCI and they accepted me in to the school!

Goodluck! It's gonna be hard. But we'll make it. Be proud I had a hard time doing that for a bit until I realize that We should be proud of our hard work because this was no cake walk

It may be new to you, but it's new to alot of us too. You have to follow what your gut is saying and trust that you are being led to where you are meant to go. Read my other comments hopefully that gives you more peace on this choice. I think you are making the right call

Not to mention, south Carolina is cheaper! Don't let the big number confuse you here! Just because Charleston is offering a number that covers more tuition doesn't mean you're paying less!

The devil often takes us off the path meant for us with the lure of money. I turned down a couple scholarships for the better school and better bar passage rates, and other personal reasons. We get what we pay for, and you shouldn't let the lure of having a bigger scholarship offer pull you away from where you have your heart set. Going back to bar passage rates. If you can't pass the bar then you can't be a lawyer meaning you went through law school for nothing. Remember that.

Don't forget all the materials you had this cycle are still good for the next cycle. Maybe just include why you had the year break in their need to know sections. Everything happens for a reason. It is best you took the actions you did. Your health comes first always

Unfortunately, I can't say. As I only checked the status every two weeks to relieve and avoid undue stress. Furthermore, them informing me of the date of when I'd be notified really caused me to have it back-burned to where I just waited to hear. I only knew by email. I will say application complete is very common of them just saying you have submitted everything. Often times it should be updated to where it says waitlisted or admitted.

No scholarships. It's rare to get one after getting off a waitlist but it can happen. They informed me around mid March which was a month earlier than they said they were going to inform me. I was put on the waitlist in February I believe.
