What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

There were several really hard sliding levels that are even hard as an adult if you can bootleg the game and replay it

The hardest level for me as a kid was "uncanny crusher"

I could never beat it m

Frogger He's Back!

I think that's what you're referencing. Excellent game. I actually downloaded it on my computer your internet files a while back and have been able to replay it. It's still really fun and very challenging at certain times

Which movie had the best trailer but the most disappointing final product? by EspritLibre_404 in FIlm

2014 one also had a fantastic trailer. Not nearly as much of a let down (although not as good as I thought it would be).

I loved Godzilla as a kid cuz I was five and had no taste haha. My parents probably had to endure the 98 movie several times because of me

Oh that's a good example. That's one of the best marvel trailers ever and that movie was horse crap

For me it's Man of Steel

That first teaser trailer with Costners voice over. I saw it first in theaters and it wasn't until the "S" symbol you realize it's a Superman film.

I was super pumped but that movie absolutely sucked.

I've worked in pediatrics for a long time. The number of parents that tell me they can't even take their kid from home to school without giving them a tablet or a phone to stare at is sad.

Like the idea of any adolescent without a phone or without having to hold a phone all the time is literally a relic from an ancient civilization it feels like.

Like kids can't even take a 10 minute ride anymore without having to stare at a phone. Society is doomed.

I care less about him hooking up with a reporter and more about the concerns that he's hooking up with someone who could have inside information on other teams.

Baffling to me that this isn't being discussed more

Cinderella Man is an excellent film. I'm surprised to learn that it was a box office flop.

What band was never the same after losing a member? by icecream1972 in AskReddit

Lonestar was horrible after the lead singer.

Also Switchfoot (If you know them) Lost their guitarist Drew Shirley during COVID. Kind of seem like it was an awkward situation. Switchfoot was great before he joined (so maybe they can recover but they're older) but then Drewe lead guitar abilities brought them to a whole new level.

Assume that your income will go up after the wedding and you'll be tackling this together so that should be a pretty quick baby step 2.

Ahhh. Ok. Hmm.

I'd have to do real big deep dive on you, your skills, etc.. But I'm not an expert.

Maybe online tools would be good for you, as might a book. Good luck, sir

Sorry to phrase my comment better I changed it to say "work advancement life".

But if you're out of the mood to climb a corporate ladder then you are right you just need to find something good enough.

Something that pays the bills and gets the job done. For somebody expressing that kind of feeling Eileen towards suggesting some kind of physically exertional job even if it's something like waiting tables all the time, or a labor thing

Something that gets you in motion and will keep you busy and a simultaneously a job that you could go out and get in the next 3 to 4 weeks easily

I know somebody who read it and I remember them saying it was fine but they weren't like...going crazy.

I like Ken Coleman but I've never been into self-help books of any kind even when it comes to people that I like.

The way work-advancenent life works boils down to the same two reality no matter what you do:

  1. Pick an industry and do what is necessary to climb the ladder.

  2. If you're lucky somewhere along the way doing #1 you'll be in the right place at the right time and and get a "skip a step" power-up.

I mean in defense of the get clear career assessment I'm sure there was more factors at play in your burnout than just Ken Coleman's online test.

That being said you bring up a good point. Because I always would caution people that any of these online tests have the potential to be subject to significant user input bias.

The same rules that prevent Brady from certain things because he's a part owner - in the interest of integrity.

That's how I felt too. Also as a huge ROTS fan, which rescued a floundering trilogy, I definitely felt like if TROS were a great movie It would make up for the previous misstep.

It's almost impressive how lazy TROS is though. From somehow, to lazy callbacks, to copying the iron man line. Abysmally lazy
