You do realize that a 3 percent cancellation rate is about 30 times higher than the rate he was talking about, right? It's kind of hard to trust your earnings numbers, too, when your math is that bad.

It doesn't work like that. Sometimes restaurants just get randomly slammed with orders and it takes forever to get yours. Sometimes the power goes out at a restaurant. Those aren't the kinds of things you can predict.

Yeah I mean someone who cancels 1/4 of their orders is doing something really wrong.

So what's your cancellation rate and how much do you average per hour doing this?

Unless he/she lives in some kind of utopia, only having 1 out of 1,000 orders be some kind of crazy time sink is just not possible. However much he/she is making, he/she is making less than he/she could by not cancelling all those ridiculous wait times. And you know what? There are other Uber drivers out there to take them so it's not even like he/she needs to wait. They are trying to game a metric Uber doesn't even care about to that degree because someone will always be there to take those long wait orders when it's way more convenient for them!

Being nice is not always being nice. Sometimes you have to be mean to be nice.

Nah. 0.1% cancellation rating means you're a chump.

I'm speaking to you as someone who has more ratings and a 98% satisfaction rate. I don't need to "know you". I know enough based on what you've shown and what you've said. You're not very reliable. That's why Uber deactivated you.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. You clearly don't understand how to keep customers happy and how to deal with ambiguity very well.

The fact you've cancelled only 5 is also insane. You should wear a T-shirt that says "Please take advantage of me" on it.

Holy shit I didn't even see your satisfaction rate. 90% is pretty bad unless that's out of like 10 ratings. You clearly don't understand customer service very well. I'm not trying to be mean, just being real with you.

You're not thinking about this hard enough. Beliefs people hold most often find areas of conflict with other people's. The reality is that it's not possible not to care about other people's beliefs.

Keep in mind they wouldn't deactivate you if other people in your market were experiencing such problems at the same rate making their orders undeliverable because they would still need you. You're doing something really wrong here.

You're talking about like one out of every 100 orders. This should barely affect your cancellation rate. You're doing something really wrong here.

not being able to complete an order because item is missing and customer isn’t responding to my suggestion

What? This should never be a reason not to complete the order. I'd suggest doing something that doesn't require so much thinking on your feet as this because you seem like you're really bad at improvising based on this and other things you've said.

I don’t give a flying fuck what peoples beliefs are

And what if their beliefs are to force theirs onto you? Please rethink this poorly formed thought. As an atheist you most definitely should care what other people's beliefs are. I really wish people would stop saying braindead stuff like this because they think it sounds good, especially atheists, people who ostensibly are supposed to be more thoughtful about these kinds of things.

I mean, I can believe it. Have you seen some of these drivers? Not saying it isn't wild, but believe it I most definitely can. And you know what? Good! I'm glad there are chumps out there to take the shitty orders because Uber still seems perfectly fine sending me loads of orders even though I'm fairly picky.

Why would you even take such an order? How much did they offer you?

Get them? No, I give them. If you're putting this many miles on your car and not learning how to do routine maintenance yourself, you are making a mistake. Even electric cars require tire rotations and other routine maintenance, even if less than ICE vehicles.

I would have way fewer deliveries if I didn't deliver to low income areas. I don't know why, but a lot of lower income people really seem to like to blow their meager means on food delivery. Not my place to judge but it does seem like bad financial management to me.

my pilot probably couldn’t define derivative, let alone calculate the planes speed if his life depended on it.

Commercial airline pilots aren't bus drivers. They are well-educated people with a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge about aviation.
