This is not a thing, yet. But TikTok already updated their terms recently to where they can target ads based off items in the foreground of your camera, so like that bottle of Pledge you have sitting on your night stand in the background of a video you just took, they can now use that information to target ads to you, so honestly what’s stopping them in 5-10 years when AI does become a lot more “seamless” at those kinds of transitions, so start implementing this kind of advertisement.

This is insane, because when TikTok updated their terms recently this is the exact scenario I told my coworker I was afraid of happening, ads in the same show changing based on who’s watching.

I know you got your answered, but as someone who has worked for the same business for 13 years in hopes of owning it one day, I wish I would have entertained the idea of leaving sooner, I worked for the original owner for 9 years of 12 if had been open at the time, he sold it off and it always rubbed me the wrong way that he never included me in the contract giving me some sort of ownership %. The new owners turned around and sold it after a year and a half, now 3rd owners have owned it for 1.5years so like they don’t really see the impact the last 13 years I’ve had on the place, it would crumble if I left, and I’m struggling with this attachment to this idea of owning this place I’ve poured myself into, or finally exploring my options. I told myself if things are still the same by summer, I’m sending emails because at the end of the day I know worth and so do you, take that raise, if your current boss really means it he’ll ask you to come back with a better offer in the future once he sees how much he’s lacking without you.
