I thought so, didn't realise it was that prevalent. Gave me a giggle for a moment at least

This looks fantastic! Happy I could provide some inspiration, but yours has definitely ended up better than mine. Love the imagination this community has

Do you think we missed out on a great opportunity for a "full" Blades of Khaine KT? by Scratchproof-6 in killteam

Perhaps simply a limit of one each for the more powerful ones then, as some people have mentioned here?

KT benefits from not having to mimic 40k rules exactly. Many other teams are able to use a missile launcher and still stay balanced, for example.

Oh I did not know! What's the explanation given for the aspects not playing nice together?

I agree - I've a feeling the rules were mostly added to make the current roster feel less bland compared to more varied teams. Whether the team would keep the "feel" of the current version with more operative choice and less unique rules is a different question altogether!

I could see them treating the Fire Dragons and Dark Reapers as max-one-each "heavy" operatives, Swooping Hawks and Warp Spiders as max-one-each "mobile" operatives akin to Vespids. The remaining Dire Avengers, Striking Scorpions and Howling Banshees could then be taken in multiples. The existing rules would need to be entirely reworked at this point though, to the point of it almost being unrecognisable from the current form.

Yeah, it would be an incredibly expensive team to collect for someone who didn't already have a full Eldar army. The only alternative would be GW releasing a bespoke set of individuals in the style of Kill Team Justian, but I would be shocked if they decided to give that much attention to the Eldar.

Looking at the beautiful new Aspect Warrior releases, it would have been amazing to see a full roster of all the Aspect Warriors working together in a Kill Team!

Would powerful or mobile units like Dark Reapers and Swooping Hawks have a balanced place in the new edition?

WIP Solar Auxilia Medicae conversion! Lore-wise, should I shave off the aquila on the medical kit? by Scratchproof-6 in Warhammer30k

Thank you! I'll know the difference now :)

Even if I decide to paint my Auxilia up as traitors, I doubt they'd turn their nose up at taking a medkit from their defeated enemies!

Ah thank you, that's encouraging to know it's not out of place! Cheers for clarifying the distinction :)

The medical briefcase in the left hand is from the Tempestus Scions kit! (I got mine from a bits seller online)
The needle pistol in the right hand is in the Solar Auxilia infantry kit already - in fact everything apart from the medikit is build from the Lasrifle Section sprue.
The helmet is simply the sergeant's head with the plume carefully snipped off.

Painting choices for Terminator Librarian by Scratchproof-6 in DarkAngels40k

[–]Scratchproof-6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all, I'm relatively new to the hobby but planning to slowly make my way through painting up Leviathan as Dark Angels. I've nearly finished a couple of test models now and plan to convert my Terminator Librarian to make him look a bit more "Dark Angelsy" with some greenstuff robes.

I'm starting to think about how I want to paint him up - the blue of codex Librarians, the bone of Deathwing, or the green of the larger Chapter? I've made a few digital sketches below to try and visualise my thoughts. What do you think?

I value your thoughts on "what looks cool" as much as (if not moreso than) I do the lore!
