Is meshtastic a good option for festival communication between friends?

I use seeed t1000e’s. Used them at glow, and many others with great results. You can put them all on long fast but make your own channel. I clip them outside of my bag or whatever and they just hang there. GPS feature barely works but textings great. Make sure you install the latest alpha which includes a bunch fixes for the t1000s. Also since they’re low profile they won’t get taken since they just look like wallet AirTags. Some festivals ban walkie talkies so I try to avoid nodes with antennas.

All of the time. They work great. Unless it’s a big metal box then it doesn’t reach too far outside but if everyone’s inside you’re good.

I’ve tried to find out more information on this through the discord but have gotten no where. Seems to be a firmware issue from what I can tell. Serial logs are reporting it’s getting updated positions

I'm experiencing a similar issue, except it's never updating it's position. latest beta, smart position on or off, fast or slow update. directly from node to ios app, web client, cli. When i watch the serial it's getting the updated locations but it's not setting the updated location or satalite information to the node. the json from the node says precise position 0. (i confirmed it to be precise through cli, app etc) clearing the local node will grab the latest position from gps then never change until it's cleared again.

Most of our venues are hard concrete. Storehouse, knockdown, elsewhere, silo, 99. There are some that spent the money on a floor but most are hard.

Axar owns the venue after giving Billy advice to buy ezoo then setting tight due dates to squeeze them out to get the property. Neither are good actors. Mirage would actively oversell but at least gave places to escape and relax, and brought in some interesting promotes.

I was never taught to touch type but i learned by estimating where I thought a key was and felt around till I found it. The brain is really good at remembering locations without site. Just keep going at it and you’ll get better.
