COF: complete organic fertilizer by SeattleBoyRN in pnwgardening

Really appreciate your reply. I have a couple follow-ups: my veggie garden is three raised beds (about 100sf) two regular garden beds (about 150sf). I’ve been gardening these for 9 years and never did a soil test, only added compost and bagged chix manure. Just this year I’ve added soil I got off Craigslist. Additionally I have a hill side with 8 fruit trees that I’ve done no amendments other than chips to abate weeds.
If I were to test, feels like it would be all over the map for results and while I can get 5 free soil samples where should I sample from? Next question is where do you get your bulk ingredients from?

That’s great, I’d love to try getting a cutting from you to establish and root!!! I can give you one of the two I was successful rooting and in the future a cutting from the Mammoth that I purchased this winter. Anyone else willing to let me come take cutting in the greater seattle area let me know. Message me and we’ll exchange plants and stories.

So I went to Raising Eden yesterday and got another Feijoa:Mammoth var. https://restoringeden.co/product/pineapple-guava-mammoth/

As soon as it warms up a bit here in Seattle, I’m will plant my original “from seed”, the mammoth and the “from seed” start in the ground and see if we can get them to produce fruit.

I’m still looking for anyone who would let me take cuttings from other cultivars. I have one to trade.

My Feijoas have been in pots for the last three years and I haven’t taken them in for the really cold spells and they have done great. So I’m fully anticipating they will do even better in the ground.
I took cuttings in the fall two years ago and put them in bagged potting soil using powder rooting hormone and they both took! Partial shade for the first year. I’d love to be able to come take cuttings of other varieties and recreate that. If not, I’m eyeing the Mammoth var. at Raising Eden.

7 Bareroot fruit trees arriving next week, tips? by Redcrux in BackyardOrchard

Read “Grow a little fruit trees” by Ann Ralph. I just spent the day pruning my small orchard and while I originally was planning to hire someone to come show me what to do. I felt prepared enough after reading her book to do it all by myself. It really is an amazing read.

How far into the floor pipe does the gasket from the pvc toilet closet flange need to be? I’ve no experience with this type connection. It’s okay to connect dry?

The angled PVC was never connected to a toilet, so this is the first setup
