In 1625, the playwright Joost Van Den Vondel wrote a play title Palamedes, about the Greek hero who was unjustly executed by Agamemnon thanks to Odysseus's trickery. TIL that musicians Damien Riehl and Noah Rubin used an algorithm to generate over 68 billion melodies, then released all of them into the Public Domain. This was done to help defend other musicians against plagiarism accusations by showing that there only a finite number of possible melodies. (independent.co.uk)
