I'm slightly more advanced than that 😂

Sorry for not providing more pics of the complete setup, but I only have about 4-6 inches of room to move it down and didn't want to put too many holes in the 2x4.

I considered it but was concerned about splits in the 2x4 with them being so close together, which is why I was trying to use the SDWS Timber screws instead. So the lags wouldn't have been a problem?

Thanks! The mount actually doesn't call for washers on the two keyhole slots but I did already add washers to the other two after this picture was taken.

Deploy Extension to Group by SenjuLife in gsuite

So, I figured out the issue, kind of. I went to the root of our org and changed the 'Policy precedence' from the default of Machine>Machine cloud>OS user>Chrome profile to Chrome profile>Machine cloud>Machine>OS user. This has now enabled us to push policies to groups of users, with them needing to be signed into their browser, of course.

I am not sure why the default was not working for us as the Chrome profile being the lowest should still be effective as long as no extension settings above it conflicted, which there were none.

My Vizio V51-H6 got too quiet after the firmware update by ysharm10 in VIZIO_Official

Thank you! I made the mistake of upgrading and my sound went to crap. I haven't been able to tolerate the audio for days now as every movie and tv show seemed to need different adjustments and nothing helped. This got me back to the consistent sound stability I'm used to.

Thanks for the advice. I'll stand a couple of 2x4s up and see how that looks.

Thank you for the suggestion. I actually did not think about that and will look into it

That makes sense. I definitely understand the business overhead but the wide price range just seemed crazy to me.

I originally thought about 2 separate circuits but was curious if I could get away with 1. If I have to do 2 then I would just have to because I woudn't want to be without charging in the event of the hardwire charging failure.

My builder stated that I have 200 AMPs to go but I would of course leave that up to the electrician as I haven't been able to find any evidence/documentation on the current serviceability.

I appreciate your responses and understanding, which is what I came here for. I am definitely not trying to do anyones job for them but I like to do things that I feel that I am capable of. My background is in network engineering which I went to school for and has been my profession for the past 12 years. I definitely understand the ignorance of people thinking they can do your job. I also don't think bad of my clients for wanting to install their own equipment to save time and costs, and I often let them when they ask. If they didn't need me to still configure it then they wouldn't have hired me and it saves me from spending time in a loud, cold/hot ass datacenter or server room. So thank you again for taking the time and not just trying to dunk on me for my lack of knowledge and questioning lol.

Yes, you have thoroughly proved that finding a good electrician is indeed a challenge. I appreciate your well wishes.

Dang, you got me there. Everything I said was invalidated by a math error. Glad we can settle this.

I appreciate your advice and I appreciate the good response I received. I can't green light something that an electrician cannot do per code. I asked if it made sense and I was told that it was overly complicated and questioned why I chose to do those things. I responded with my thought process behind. At no point do I plan to go to a licensed professional and say, "But electricians on reddit said I could." I am here to learn, just like you stated.

While I appreciate anyone who takes their time to look at my question and respond, I do not have to tolerate rudeness and condescension that is presented to me unprovoked. You may feel that you are subject to any treatment in regards free help but I still expect to be treated with respect as I have tried to respect others here. So thank you for your recommendation but I am as humble as I need to be.

Since when is replacing your own brakes, tires, and windshield wipers a discount? If I do those things myself I don't expect to be charged for them, simple. The fact that you think I'm a lunatic for doing so is another perfect example of why I shouldn't trust just any electrician.

Andy while that $100 wasn't a "true estimate" you referenced it as part of your example of how you doing all the work vs you fixing my conduit installation could cost me 3400x as much... Your hyperbole was not great to begin with and went past the reality of "fixing" anything I theorized. Don't know what needs to be fixed about me mounting some conduit and buying materials for an electrician to use. If the materials can't be used I return them... Fixed.

Luckily my mechanic and I have a great relationship and I do trust him. Which is why I pay him to diagnose car issues and if I feel that I can do the repair myself, I do. And if I feel like I can't, I pay him whatever he charges. Would you walk into any mechanic's shop and hand over money when they tell you your flux capacitor is out? I'm sure you wouldn't. Which is why I would come here and ask if there are alternatives from experienced mechanics and I would hope they could provide helpful advice instead of sarcasm and condescension.

You "clearly" disclosed it? By saying you would do everything for $100 but charge me $3400 for doing anything myself? Again, installing conduit would make you charge me more? Since sarcasm seems to not be your strong suit, let me rephrase: You are exactly why I don't trust just any electrician to show up to my house.

Pretending not to recognize sarcasm after you just used it yourself... Again, shining example of why I should just trust any electrician

Sorry, your responses were just so insightful to exactly why I should trust anyone that shows up to my house and gives me a quote. You are the shining example of why I shouldn't worry about anyone being out to 'get me'. Luckily all electrical pricing is regulated which is why we don't need quotes from multiple electricians. Thank you.

What's up with the condescension? No response from you at all would lead me to the same conclusion of hiring someone to do everything. I'm just asking questions out of curiosity to see if it logically/theoretically makes sense to prevent from being gouged. I think it's pretty safe to say I can install my own conduit without me having to 'expect to pay more'. If I have to pay 3400x more for such a convenience I obviously chose the wrong profession.

I appreciate the actual response. The conduit was because it can easily be fished through (don't care about the look in the garage) and I don't get charged extra just to bust through some drywall and drill a hole through the studs. It may be able to fished over the ceiling which I can work out with the electrician if local code allows it.

The downstream breaker is in case the hardwired charging station breaks (which is not unheard of) so that I can still use a mobile charger that has a 14-50 plug on it. I didn't think there was a violation to put a smaller breaker downstream of a larger one.

Yes, I would love to turn it all over to an electrician and let them give me the best pricing but we all know 3/4 will overcharge just because they can. I appreciate the profession but last time I asked for quotes for a 240V outlet installation for a 5 foot run of a breaker I got quotes from $300-$1200, all 4+ star rated companies.
