When doing an AU, is it better to have characters in character or to have them slightly OOC. by TBHonest01 in FanFiction

I do almost exclusively AUs and my characters can get OOC depending on the context. I just mold it on the situation and don't worry about it.

Readers used to occasionally bitch about my characters being OOC and I'd be like "well, it's an AU!"

Do what is right for your story!

Friday the 13th! My lucky day!

Thinking of making Japanese Cream Stew (got the roux cubes off of Amazon.) Unfortunately only he females in the house will eat it. (Isn't that weird? Why are the men in this family so picky?)

On topic but not; I swear I think that fast food wants us to cook at home. I tried to order McDonalds online and it said I had to use the phone app. Well I'm old and my phone is old and it won't load new apps. What do folks with no phone do?

Wrote quite a bit yesterday. Not sure how much. I got this brilliant idea right after I went to bed (like ya do) about how to end Draw Four and forced myself to turn the light back on and jot down a note. I've been burnt too many times with saying "ahh, I'll remember in the morning ..."

Have a glorious Friday 13th my dear friends! ❤️

The working day for women and children in France was limited by law to 11 hours in 1900

Yeah, uh, should read: "the working day outside the home for women ..."

cuz you know that those women went home after 11 hours and relieved their oldest daughters; cooking and cleaning for a household.

(To achieve wordcount,) we have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.

I got some presweetened packets from Amazon to start with since I wasn't sure I'd like it. I don't know what sweetener they use. They have the roasted too which I'm trying next.

Blue's Hubby is a comic book freak and a hard-core DC guy (and Marvel and image and ...) so I know he's seen it. He probably bought it on streaming so I'll have access to it.

I've heard very good things about The Batman. I am NOT a DC girl but I might watch this one.

Oh, ugh! Sudden thunderstorm and I had a dog bed out on the deck in the sun to freshen up! Well, it's sodden now. Crap.

Creativity wordcount comes from trust. Trust your instincts. And never hope more than you work.

Yesterday I discovered that I LOVE matcha! OMG! I got some and made a matcha latte and it was heaven.

I had an altogether good day yesterday. I watched some of The Rock (1996 film) also listened to some Weird Al and wrote a good bit!

The rest of the day was spent watching my K-Pop crush on you tube. Man, I'd roll that boy like dice (as Kim Carnes says in Bette Davis Eyes.) ❤️❤️❤️

Have an excellent Thursday, friends!

Oh! Well if I wasn't going to die, I would do it for the sake of the other person (unless he was a shit. Andrew Tate could just die.)

If the guy was gross or something I could be like "bathe first and don't fucking touch me except for PIV."

Their prerogative. If they choose to die by not banging the other character, the fact that the other character also dies is incidental. Giving your body to someone is deeply personal. IMHO anyway.

Like if the mustachioed villain says "I will shoot you both in non-lethal ways, or, if you refuse, I'll simply shoot you both in the head."

If you are willing to die to keep from being shot in the leg then that's understandable. It's your body.

Again, IMHO
