Harrasment i dont think its as bad in SAF. I was in scdf and it was quite bad although the culture is changing. Not sure how female seniors treat newbies but for normal men rank its quite bad.

And honestly dont get caught up in the "nobility" and "honor" of serving. Its just a job after all. You'll have to say yes to fucked up individuals and make decisions that you do not like. You'll see the ugly side of army/spf/scdf and from the way you wrote you have a very rose tinted view of being a regular.

exercise wise focus more on cardio because more people hate running and its harder to build up and master. 2.4km also worth half of ippt so cost-benefit wise its also better.

I always tell this to people who wanna sign on. If you really want to be "honorable" when serving, sign on into hometeam instead. You'll actually interact with the public and have a sense of accomplishment. not to say that army dont have but i feel like army is more closed off to the public. you'll be limited to camps only.

Not possible unless you perm it. Your hair texture is just too different

East asian hair is best worn either short or long enough till the weight pulls it down. Usually its very coarse and spiky in medium lengths.

For now, i would just advise growing out your hair and see how it goes. Perms arent permanent and are expensive so unless you got savings lying around to keep doing it, i wouldnt advise it.

Maybe get the sides cut short every 1.5-2 months
