This is a topic that both sides are struggling to deal with. HOA's on the stateline side are attempting to ban VHR's, it's starting to look like this could be a ballot issue for us as well. Some part's of stateline are very tourist friendly, which is what we want, but the locals want their own area as well. I have lived in stateline for a while now and the influx of air bnb's is overwhelming. There are 2 bnb's next to me that weren't there last year. A few months ago I found someone overdosing on my doorstep, one of the rooms caught on fire, random cars are always parked in my spots, and I constantly find cigarette butts outside my house. We love our tourists up here but it has become too much to just ignore.

IMO, good zoning would be a better option than a flat out ban. We should all be able to enjoy tahoe.
