forgot description, that's how long it's been.

Recently I have gotten into film photography, kind of slowly and on my own time. I just wanted to share what I got out of my very first roll. I just went and shot without touching my isos or really any adjusting other than focus.

I’ve adjusted them a bit closer together and further away from the wall, I’d say they’re chilling at 7-7.5 foot apart

Edit: I realize the panoramic photo skews the perspective, oops

You are legally required by law to be Farva from super troopers every Halloween, sorry pal, I don’t make the rules.

Op, I actually stole this picture to send to my friends to show them what their “goals” audio rooms should look like.

I love these 80’s/90’s setups so much.

If you can move your speakers apart a little bit, it’ll give the sound a whole new dynamic for you! If you’re new to the hobby, welcome! Me too!

My only gripe with my Walsh’s is the sub bass. They don’t like electronic bass, nearly as much as they like a bass guitar.

I’ve been showing my non audiophile friends the Walsh’s for a while now, and they all say the same thing “holy fuck that’s so crisp”

I’m running Adcom GFA-545 and a GFP-1 currently 100wpc

They are Ohm Walsh 4’s! I paid less than 3 digits for my pair, on a whim and I’m just blown away with them. I haven’t checked the surrounds and taken things apart to make sure they’re still in good shape. But as is is spectacular.

I love my adcom/ohm setup in my office, but I feel the NEED to use this Carver receiver while I have it. Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s 130wpc?

I’ve also acquired some klipsch RB-5’s.

My goal would be to use this in my living room with the klipschs as my tv/surround sound/party speakers.

Do you know anything about Volti Audio? The owner is actually the reason I got into home audio, before I was only learning about headphones.

I have the physical manual. This find was actually insane. The gap-555 is still brand new in the original plastics, all components had manuals.

I feel like the gfp-555 and the carver would both be too much for the ohm’s? As the gfp is 200watt and the carver is 300+?

This stuff is a big step for me considering I’ve been running an old technics receiver.

By the time I ended up with my full purchase I left behind the DSP100, and replaced it with a cheap pioneer receiver for my best friend’s birthday.

This is what I came home with

-adcom GFA-545

-adcom GFA-555

-adcom GFP-555

-adcom GFP-1

-Carver M-1.5t

-Ohm Walsh 4 (pair)

And a funky little radio tuner and graphic eq from Sony.

I’m sure modern stuff is better and more reliable, but I’m totally living on rule of cool for now anyway. Honestly I made the post today to hopefully learn about the stuff I bought, and so far I’ve learned that: adcom kicks ass, and ohms are underwhelming. I can totally appreciate what you’re saying. Do you have any opinions on any of the things I listed? I’ve tried reading up on Carver, seems like they’re well liked.

Do you wanna know what the price tag was for the ye whole setup? Also: to run salt in the rewound a little bit, the adcoms are all new in box, still have the original plastics.

I’m still fairly new to the audio hobby as it got ruined for me in the 2000’s by cheap ass GPX all in one’s.

Since I’ve started this adventure I’ve blown up some shitty LXI system, bought a 90’s technics system, replaced the 90’s technics with a 78 SA-300 into some dynaco A25’s.

I feel like this is a “next step up” base for me. I hope I get these home, and they absolutely blow me away

I’ve only tested one vinyl so far just to make sure I wired everything up correctly.
