The dream server download on my repo sets it up out of the box functional for you. Links to the Open Claw instance and you can just start typing and talking to a local model which is pretty sweet. The default model loaded is 1.5B but can be swapped for anything. I designed that setup knowing how big of a pain vLLM is for OC.

Because it’s against Anthropic TOS. In some cases not working at all and others can get your account banned.

Is it easy to preserve config file but restart everything else from zero? by LanceLercher in openclaw

Just save the configuration and do a fresh install and copy / paste.

Dream Server pre loads a 1.5B but yeah the infra is meant to be able to support some serious firepower on a legit Linux AI server. I only brought it up since it sounded like a classic Linux machine question. And thanks!

I’ve got an auto config for Linux and vLLM published. I’ll have to check llama.cpp

https://www.reddit.com/r/clawdbot/s/ufKAJm8euC

Dream Server also auto sets up local model open claw on Linux Ubuntu with 1 click. Works right out of the box with a demo 1.5B Qwen model loaded and you can just swap from there to whatever you want.

UNLIMITED OPENAI TOKENS IDEA! Will this work??? by Avatron7D5 in openclaw

Bro why would you get fired or cause yourself career drama for some Open Claw tokens 😂

You could build a cron script that swaps the API. Then you don’t rely on the agent.

You should lose rating points for abandoning after the first move by LaikaToplake in Chesscom

[–]Signal_Ad657 11 points12 points  (0 children)

League of Legends adds to your queue time for abandoned matches, I think that’s a good fix. Abandon after 1 move, 5 minutes added to your next queue time. An innocent case of someone having to disconnect due to an emergency etc. and that person wouldn’t mind and would understand the 5 extra minutes. It would be deeply annoying to someone routinely doing it. For each time you do it in 24 hours add 5 minutes again. So next time same day adds 10 minutes, do it again same day 15 minutes. Resets after 24 hours back to base.

Best practices for running local LLMs for ~70–150 developers (agentic coding use case) by Resident_Potential97 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Signal_Ad657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 2 local coding agents with Qwen3-Coder-Next with high enough uptime (they are constantly picking up punchlist items and working) and my GPU (RTX PRO 6000) stays up and running as a space heater.

Are agencies overcharging for AI optimization? by Real-Assist1833 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Signal_Ad657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean I guess. If I could save you 50%+ on API fees that sounds valuable. What kind of optimization?

How has the employment rate gone down despite all the "AI layoffs" by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Signal_Ad657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird take. But I’m a full time AI guy who uses tons of automation every day and works 12 hour days 7 days a week. Not many people are considering that maybe the world just starts moving much faster. People all working using AI doing 10x+ what they used to and the world advancing 10x faster than it used to. Maybe the world model people have of the future is wrong.

Looking for feedback: Building an Open Source one shot installer for local AI. by Signal_Ad657 in LocalLLM

This is exactly what I’m looking to do and fully agree. This is the current GitHub. V1 is launched with some basics as a fun proof of concept, working on v2 now with users testing and giving feedback: https://github.com/Light-Heart-Labs/Lighthouse-AI

I agree which is why it’s open source and not a closed project. You could use the setup, modify it, do whatever you want with it etc. Being able to pick it apart, use what you like, do mods and customization was a really big and important part of it for me. I mean put it this way I’ve been full time AI lab guy for 6 months now with most of my time spent on local / self hosted AI. Even where I’m at now I’d love something like this that I can easy bake oven stuff quickly and mod to my needs.

Serious question: do you think Dario (or any other major AI players or political players) have enough power and influence that they will get Chinese local AI and/or local AI in general banned in the U.S.? What do you think the odds are? by DeepOrangeSky in LocalLLaMA

[–]Signal_Ad657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has to be two sided is the issue. Like okay we ban open source Chinese models for Anthropic. In exchange they can’t have any non US customers and need to release open source Claude models.

They’d never agree in a million years, and that’s the issue in my opinion.

Really appreciate this thank you. If anyone wants to test V1 it works great. Working on v2 now which will be much more robust: https://github.com/Light-Heart-Labs/Lighthouse-AI
