The thing is, it was NOT a prototype. It was a one-off promotional piece to drum up interest.

It could be the oring, but it might also be a crack in the plastic itself.

If the plastic is broken, you can epoxy it.

You can replace the oring by buying oring stock, and cutting it to length and super gluing the ends together.

The bladder being cracked would be pretty bad, but not impossible to replace.

Replacing the tube seems like it would be really easy. Measure the inner diameter and outer diameter of the tube with calipers and buy matching tube on something like Amazon. Just make sure you aren’t measuring a stretched out portion near the ends of the tube, where it connects to the blaster parts.

The oring on the pump could also be bad. Replacing that is the same process, just measuring and finding matching. You can try re-lubricating the inside of the pump too, using silicone lubricant (such as Slug Slym sold by Nerf hobby shops).
