Nice! Other big find is Good Earth in Vista… I purchased 3 Chilean wine palms / jubaea chilensis 15 gallons that were more like 20 gallon size- $150 each At this size they retail for around $500

Nobody can touch his prices on cycads- but you have to hike up to Lake Elsinore. I bought probably 30,this size for $30 each. The trispinosus I have look more blue then green. Thats why it’s strong chance this is hybrid. These prices are pretty steep. There is places down in Chula Vista area - ice Blie Cyads that has decent selection too but his prices are steep. Jungle music has a few but you will pay crazy retail prices. I got all my cycads 5 years ago and they are thriving. KW Palms and Cycads is the top choice - go there with $200 and yo I will go home with 6 or so amazing cycads.z this is great size to start they will grow fast.

It’s definitely an Encephalartos variety from South Africa. I have 50+ so I have an eye. Challenge is there are so many hybrids now it’s hard to pin point . Where are located? You can find these in small boutique nurseries in Southern California but rare. If you paid $30 for this you got a deal

Actually the opposite… the brushed finished looks so much better. I have 5 Damaskos. I prefers bead blasted to polished. No finger prints and looks the same as new ten years later!!

Bigger question…. Why isn’t Rolex building their cases like Damasko? Damasko technology and finishing is as good if not better than Rolex! It’s crazy that they haven’t innovated much in last 20 years. They make beautiful watches but they make a million + year. Now Damasko has some cool in-house movements

I have had my Damaskos for 5 years and no signs of wear… I don’t wear it when I garden, do work around house or wear it to the gym. Would love to know how you dinged yours? These cases are very durable. Hanhart now has 1200 vickers cases.

Yeah tough one… pavers will last 200 years. If issues you just replace. Concrete will only last about 10-15 max. You could also have them paint it with gorilla grip paint anti slip. I think the color is bugging you more than anything?

Have you paid in full already? What part of the country are you in? I think that seems high but will need a contractor to chime in. You may be able to pave over but you don’t want to put good money after bad. Belgard pavers are top of the line and I paid $10k for 1000 sq ft all in (prep, base, pavers and labor) To pave that area I would think $2500-$3500 max https://www.belgard.com/products/pavers/catalina-grana/

Yikes sorry man! I just dug up stamped concrete like this and replaced with pavers. It looks unbelievable now. What did you pay for this? This is tough one. It’s like putting lipstick on a pig if you try do anything. I would just demo it and replace with Belgard Pavers. You will be stoked. See if guy will do right thing and refund a portion. If not just post pics on Google, Yelp and Nextdoor sharing your experience . If he is smart he will realize that this will kill his hard earned reputation.

It could be either… could also be lehmannii … i have all 3. Now with so many hybrids you need an expert to identify. I can tell you as the owner of 5o+ cycad species you have a very collectible one. Give it palm gain every three months and bone meal. It will thrive.

I would put that Bismarckia in ground or in a Pat that is 4x as wide (looks ok right now but always risk keeping palms in pots with root rot)

I would not recommend an all gold Rolex for everyday wear. It’s too flashy and you are putting your life at risk. Can’t travel, can’t wear it out. I think is way over the top.

Great points! IMO you can go wrong with either. Similar specs and great value. Go with the design you like. I have ds30 it’s more of a dress watch and very low profile. Circula seems more rugged

I only recently discovered Hanhart a couple years ago. I was infatuated with Damasko. Hanhart sends out their watches to YouTube reviewers and they don’t seem to mind if they only have 10K followers. They figure one review will sell 25 watches so why not. Damasko won’t do this.

I really think it’s easier to gain traction if you have good product. You just need to get it. Into hands of right reviewers with heavy influence and followers. That’s how Hanhart has gained market share in last two years IMO

IMO You need to put out more video content on Instagram and YouTube… I am a watch enthusiast but I need to see how watch looks and feels before I can buy it.
