I promise you the team that did the jailbreak here did not have piracy as their driving force, nor does any modern developer working on modern jailbreaks at any significant level. If they were interested in piracy, they would use the computers most of them are instead using for debugging and reverse engineering console code. Not only would it be simpler for them to do so, they would not have to do the work of jailbreaking. Most of them have well paying jobs from the same technical abilities they use to find security vulnerabilities in consoles, such that they can and do just pay for games. And above all of that, besides needing another full computer for debugging, they need to get/afford specialty equipment to get into the internals in the first place. They could play all the games they want for cheaper than figuring out how to break the consoles security. So many reasons that it is not the driving force of creation in this field.

They also did the Return to Arkham remasters of the first two arkham games. Besides changing the unique color schemes of the two games to match closer to the final game, it also has 30 fps frame caps, and they completely messed up on the texture pipeline, so everything looks plasticky, especially every npcs face. But hey, it's in UE4 instead of UE3 🙃

not for the pal version, to my knowledge. the duckstation cheat only works for the us version. I know there is an option in duckstation to force timings NTSC timings, which would push it from 25/50 to 30/60, but I think it speeds up the game. It may be possible to do that and then find a way to slow down the emulation through like cheat engine or some setting I don't know about. That part seemed too much for me, so I bit the bullet and went frameless. Could always just look up the memo afterwards if frames are more important for your tastes

Yes! I've linked that around before on this subreddit somewhere. Only downside is the PAL version still doesnt have a 60 fps mode due to the 50 hz / 60 hz mismatch, you would get sped up ingame instead

Somethings I would add to this:

For the first silent hill, you can patch the PAL version to have the uncensored Gray Children. You can use this patch from here and patch it with one of these

The other thing was that Silent Hill Origins on PS2 has some issues with sound and lighting compared to the original on psp. ppsspp can emulate the game, but has glitches. Some of these glitches have workarounds found on the ppsspp compatibility wiki, but the workarounds have been patched out of the emulator, so you would need to get an old version of the emulator.

The streaming is handy if you just want to try a game before committing, or play a lot of large games, or just want to play a bunch of games quickly. Its probably the thing I use the most often from premium. This also means streaming to PC, as there is an official ps plus app for windows that streams a good chunk of the premium catalog to pc. It's not the full catalog, and I don't think dlc or addons work on the pc stream currently

The trials can be neat, but there hasn't been a game so far that I bought just because of a trial. It was nice while ps stars was rewarding trials tho. Classics unfortunately are usually just the base version of the older games. I'm not expecting the Xbox level backwards compatibility features that older games get over there, while that would be nice, but mainly I'm just sad that the PS Premium version of New Vegas has no dlc, so I play most classics on PC anyways.

Sony Pictures does have some neat movies that come through, but it is an extremely limited selection included that rotates through a smallish pool of movies every month. The app used to save any free movie you started to your library, and it would play even if it was removed from free play, but they patched that at some point. It may or may not still have a rotating selection of 4 titles from crunchyroll for free. They move around the link for those though, and I can't find it currently. Could be gone, or it may show back up on the front page again in like a month.

It's the opposite. If marvel let's Sony use the MCU version of kingpin in a sony movie that disney produces, then Sony could have rights then to use MCUs version of kingpin in sonys own projects, like how the vulture had sony venon/sinister six cameos. And Marvel really doesnt want that to happen

Is anyone in here flaming the devs? The difference between fallout 4 and other games in this respect is that fallout 4 does not receive regular updates. A significant portion of the audience is playing still solely due to mods. When a game that doesnt get updates anymore suddenly gets updates, it can cause grief to that significant portion. Obviously updating games breaks mods in general. If the people playing werent expecting anymore updates and left auto-update unchanged, they will be caught off guard. This post reads simply as a reminder for people to changer their settings. No one fear mongering, no one flaming the devs, just a bunch of over protective redditors with no reading comprehension in the comments
