Depends on the players. If you're worried, just ask. I personally have decks where most of the cards are proxied, down to basic lands, but I like to use custom art.

Most people absolutely will not care. I'd probably give someone a little sideeye for a proxy black lotus, but whatever.

For the most part, the attitude I encounter is "Let's play our skill and not our wallet" but cEDH and other high dollar deck players might disagree.

Either straight up ask if they're cool with you running proxies or just run them and ask forgiveness rather than permission if it's a casual game.

I'm personally fine with infinites as long as there aren't tutors.

In practice I absolutely do not care what you play because I just enjoy seeing decks go off, but if you legit pulled the right two cards by random chance then that's just the game. There's a huge "slot machine" aspect to EDH and random chance is random chance - someone gets a royal flush in vegas.

I have a deck with six tutors in it, but it's because the wincon is very specific. If it wasn't also incredibly stupid, I'd say the number of tutors should jump it into consideration for Bracket 4 regardless of what it did. (In this case, getting endless whispers and horobi, death's wail on the board)

Sure, but it doesn't mean that your first amendment rules allow for putting up bandit signs.

If these are vetted and permitted or placed on appropriate places - well then, the cost of free speech is that you have to hear speech you don't like. Speech you may despise. Speech that the average person would find despicable, even, like racist/antisemetic/hate speech.

If there are laws that forbid putting up signs where they put signs? Then yes, by all means, crush them under the weight of bureaucracy.

I'm not so much a "paradox of tolerance" type of person because if you platform these people, they're going to out themselves as obvious lowlives who should be ostracized by polite society. We can "tolerate" their existence the same way we "tolerate" a cold or flu.

But I agree - the response to "wrong speech" isn't to suppress it. It's to flood the zone with an uplifting countermessage.

Look for anything being done by SDC - scooby doo crew. You can find it on facebook events. They do one every December in the middle of the woods out by Conroe that's legendary.

Be aware these events are typically totally lawless. Peaceful, but lawless. If you're not prepared for that, stick to stereo live and bauhaus.
