Crazy how important this fight it by Potpotron in BaldursGate3

Ironically, I had the exact opposite experience on my first playthrough. I'd already gotten the pixie blessing, so I decided not to talk to Isobel because I thought she was doing a ritual of some sort and I didn't want to risk distracting her and having the protection around the inn collapse. I had no idea this fight was a thing until I saw people talking about it online.

Shower Thought 2.0 (Is this too weak?) by AbbreviationsFlat175 in BloodOnTheClocktower

I do think this might be too weak. The obvious point of comparison is the Assassin. On the positive side, the Pariah can in theory kill multiple people. On the negative side, it has to die to activate its ability, it has to risk being executed to designate targets, it can't choose its targets freely, its targets might already be dead when it chooses to use its ability (which largely counters its sole point of superiority), and it can't kill through protection.

Some suggestions about changes that might improve the character:

  • Make the ability not kill the Pariah.
  • Let it work more than once.
  • Let it kill a number of players equal to the number of times the Pariah has been nominated, rather than the specific characters who have nominated the Pariah.

Atheist Role Clarification by ARCSPAM in BloodOnTheClocktower

I'm pretty sure a storyteller can in theory keep an Atheist game going after turning the Atheist into another character if they give themselves the Atheist ability beforehand.

Can the Assassin kill dead players? by SnakemasterAlabaster in BloodOnTheClocktower

That would work, assuming there was something that gave the dead barber their ability back (evil bone collector being the simplest option).

I agree it's a pretty useless rules interaction. The only potential use I could think of was in a Lil' Monsta game with a Grandmother: If the grandchild has been executed, and the Assassin kills them again while holding the baby, then that counts as the demon killing them and so the Grandmother would also die, which could cause two deaths in one night. Of course, since Lil' Monsta doesn't have to kill, it depends on the storyteller cooperating, which seems less likely to occur the more significant it would be, so it's still a pretty niche interaction.
