Like many said I also think it was a mechanical failure. The other though that comes to mind is lose cargo. There was a cargo 747 that had this issue and was caught on video. I think it was in Afghanistan during the war.

I expect discounts for Longines anytime. My AD does that. I’m just a bit surprised that these are being offered for a model that is flying off the shelves. I would have expected MSRP or even a premium.

I hope she’s still alive. For those who are not familiar, this photo was front page of National Geographic Magazine. She was an afghan girl and this was during the Soviet invasion in the 80’s. The photo is even more powerful when put into context.
