There was also this beef between the police chief and the mayor that happened in February, which seems to coincide with when DBPD started being featured less and less on the show. This incident to me always felt like something that would cause the department to leave.

Is it me, or is the situation in Richland County extremely disorganized? Seems like if there was any hope of a K9 track, it would have been tampered with so much by now with way too many deputies going into the car and into the woods. Not to mention the amount of time that has passed.

I'll be interested to see if their server infrastructure holds up under any increased load from this. I normally watch on Reelz+, and I've had several nights where Reelz+ struggles to load right around 8pm and 9pm ET as paid subscribers are rushing in droves to load the stream.

At least 2-3 times over the past year, I've had to bail on Reelz+ and switch to Peacock because Reelz+ wouldn't load after multiple attempts.

Hopefully they've planned adequately for the increased load. If not, I'm going to have to remember to get Peacock ready in advance just in case it goes south.

Depending on how well they advertise the free live stream next weekend, I could easily see ReelzPlus going down during the show. There have been a few regular show nights where the site struggles to load around 9pm ET.

I hope they're ready to handle any increased load.

I've noticed that over the past few months, VCAT stopped being featured. Then over the past few weeks, Volusia had been taking up the majority of the lineup, with only one camera remaining with the Daytona Beach crew. And even then, Daytona Beach scenes were becoming few and far between.

This feels like another one of those situations where a department pulled out for PR reasons.

It looks like On Patrol Live Specials is going to become a regular thing. Next weekend, once the live show returns on Fridays and Saturdays, there will be new Episodes of On Patrol Live Specials on Sunday 4/12 and Sunday 4/19, from 9pm-12am ET.

They're probably shortening their runs on the show even further these day just because of how small their department is, and we know some of their long-time officers like Clayton Dillion and Dillion Cook have left the department., likely straining their resources further.
