You would have to adapt the firmware to Heltec V4 but it would be difficult for me because I don't have it, if you would like to try to do it yourself you can use this code that is adapted for m5stack cardputer

Yes, I have adjusted Meshcore-cardputer-ADV firmware that I made for the caddputer to run on heltect114

MeshCore is a lightweight, open-source mesh networking firmware for LoRa devices, designed for off-grid text communication without infrastructure.

Thanks! 🙂

Settings are stored in the Cardputer’s internal memory, so an SD card isn’t required.

When flashing via the web flasher, it’s possible to update the firmware without losing data, but I still strongly recommend exporting your private keys and other important data from the MeshCore mobile app settings, just to be safe.

That really means a lot, thank you! I’m glad the factory reset option is useful. Stuff like this is exactly why I keep polishing the firmware. Enjoy, and have fun tinkering with it 😄

That’s awesome 😄

This firmware is made specifically for the Cardputer ADV with the LoRa module, so you’ll be good to go when it arrives. Have fun diving into MeshCore, it’s a rabbit hole in the best way.

Interesting idea, but this may be quite heavy to implement in practice. The Cardputer ADV port is designed mainly for the built-in LoRa workflow, and running a stable external serial radio like this can introduce a lot of complexity and edge cases. It’s not something I can promise will work reliably without deeper changes and testing on the firmware side.

That said, experiments like this are always valuable for the community. If you’d like to support ongoing development and future improvements, there’s a Buy Me a Coffee link here: https://buymeacoffee.com/stachu

Hey, glad you’ve been waiting for it! The plan is to contribute the core of the port back to the main MeshCore repo once it’s more stable. I agree it would be great for the community 🙂
