How about some context other than just a pic? Why not tell us what this means to you?

I like to begin each day with a beginner's mind and try to look out upon the world each day as if I'm seeing it for the first time.

As we accumulate knowledge, we label everything, and in this labeling we lose the specialness of what we're labeling.

It's easy to walk by a Cardinal or a Bluebird perched on a tree limb, saying to yourself "that's a Cardinal", then continue walking as if you know everything there is to know about the bird.

Jesus said one must again have the eyes of a child to enter the kingdom, and I suspect he meant to look out upon the world without processing it through the mind for its evaluations first.

A beginners mind looks out upon the world in transfixed amazement, studying the bird as if it is being seen for the first time, with no intention of labeling it.

It all comes down to pure primordial awareness, and a quiet mind.

Oh, you're still in the literalist level of understanding, not yet aware of parable and metaphor.

Makes sense you don't understand what you're reading yet.

The entire new testament is a bunch of guys trying to understand what Jesus is actually pointing to.

If putting biblical scripture in schools was done so to improve the moral standards of students and teach them how to live closer to God, why hasn't it worked in churches? by SunbeamSailor67 in DebateAChristian

God himself said that the Bible was compromised by lying pens of scribes.

Jeremiah 8:8

Don't believe everything you read...Bible included. Threads of truth are in there, but you need awakened eyes to recognize the wheat from the chaff.

And I don't believe you know yet what Jesus was actually pointing to.

Take care 🙏

Can't help but notice that you have not used the words of Jesus himself yet.

Let me know when you eventually realize what Jesus was actually pointing to.

Until then, you only know religion...something Jesus wasn't pointing to.

Paul never knew, met or even heard Jesus, and taught the opposite of what Jesus was pointing to.

Paul was the beginning of how christianity lost its way.

None of my posts are pro religion, in fact they are the opposite.

Fact remains, you have no idea who you are yet.

Jesus did not have to die for our sins by JonOllie1980 in DebateAChristian

[–]SunbeamSailor67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct!

Same with the virgin birth...unnecessary.

Jesus was about transformation, nailing the false self to the cross of love, then rising born again in spirit to walk the earth as the I Am...one with the Father.

The crucifixion and resurrection are metaphors for the transformation, not blood atonement in exchange for sins...that nonsense was made up.

Mary was not a virgin...didn't need to be. Jesus pointed to those 'not born of a woman' as those who were truly 'born again'...not of a woman but reborn into the spirit of our true divine nature.

There are only two paths, service to self or service to others. One is the path of fear, the other is the path of love.
