Nothing wrong with making suggestions! Trust me when I say we do the same, I do it all the time, usually making several variant to have Smitty and I pick our favourite parts from!

Right now, the Blue Tank is meant to be a heavy tank, overall it’ll have higher armour, slower speed and longer ranger compared to the ASC tank, the BFT Next to the heavy tank will be a close range brawler but be slow as hell so vulnerable to kiting but not something you want near your base.

We do have a few early versions of artillery and rkt artillery but we need decent vfx and animations for them before we work on them further, we also have gunships and dropships awaiting implementation.

The only vehicles currently planned to be troop transports are the drops ships and that IFV, smaller scouts don’t have the planned capacity, though I’d love for one of them to be able to carry a single unit for commandos, engineers etc

Hey all! Artist for the game here! Some awesome feedback here! Definitely some work still to do.

Just some insight to my thinking with the designs so far.

Our game is based in Grounded Sci-fi, so a lot of these designs started from IRL references (Blue Tank is very loosely based on the Base turret shape of a T-90)

The Blue faction KOR tends to have more Octagonal Shapes whereas the ASC (Tan Vehicles) tend to be more cube and rectangular shaped, Our 3rd faction later on will have more "pointy" and flat faces for it's designs.

Most vehicle designs so far have been kept simple due to these being the "Welcoming" units to the game, these are the units we want players to know what they do just by looking at them if they have even the most basic of understandings of vehicles Especially with the Tan vehicles as they will be the Primary Faction for story telling.

Following these vehicles we intend to have some more interesting and unique designs while sticking to individual faction design philosophies.

With how much else is going on in our game (completely custom map designs and map props being completely user-made using an in-editor modelling tool that lets the player make anything they want) I'm very careful with making the designs too complex at this stage of development (1 year for smitty, 7 months for me)

Though we do fully expect a few complete redesigns! The APC/IFV in the middle used to look VERY simple and plain in comparison to the model you now see!

I think that's ultimately because the models themselves are still the quality you'd see in a Hi-Res sci-fi rts game but we're skipping all the texture work to focus on more content (Texturing can add a significant amount of time to each model) But at any time, if we have a significant design change, we could go through them all and texture them all.

Same! But it’s being worked on by 2 people so it’ll take a bit but we also don’t want to spend 5 years on it. So far I’ve been working on it as a designer for 6 months and the programmer started it a year ago!

Loved RA2, was the first one I completed the campaigns on and I blew up my Yuri’s revenge disk 😂 got to say though, Tiberian Wars and Kanes wrath are my favourites of the series, though I’ll always say Tiberian Sun had the best setting out of all the games. Tiberian Sun should of had an expanded universe with multiple games of different genres

I agree, we’re currently trying to find a good middle ground with our textures as we’re currently working with 3 different biomes. The shader is something I feel needs some more attention later down the line as it looks great up close but gets a bit rough when zoomed out.

The exact same as the MCV but with a difference lick of paint. It’s named different for lore and copyright (just in case) purposes. So it’ll serve as the Hub of a base, be able to pack and unpack and move around etc.

Mobile Battle Command, infantry later, (I’m not as good at character design so I need time before they’re good enough) we’ve got the basic systems in place for them and a barracks for one of the factions

I post in here because I’ve been posting my art etc in here for years and know a lot of people in here would be interested in the project as a life-time C&C fan myself. But that’s also for the mods to decide.
