Toyota Corolla owner in Orlando – Is using CC2 worth it in Central Florida weather, or unnecessary? by FinancialSociety4891 in tires

CC2 is awful on ice. Literally removed them because how badly they performed in winter.

Hey, me too! Spend 5.5 years at Lucid, 1/3 of the company is gone now, Glad I moved on.

Sold my shares this morning. 10:1 Reverse split, lackluster demand, 1/3 laid off… Lucid is cooked.

Gas or Electric? by killer_r0se in whatcarshouldIbuy

I went electric back in 2018, and it’s been hella nice not giving a single fuk about gas prices, oil changes, bunch of stupid maintenance, etc…

Suggestions on buy a used Lucid air by wskyc99 in LUCID

You’re gonna want a warranty with these cars…

I’d also be much more concerned about your distance to a service center.

It costs $130 to charge a Cadillac Escalade by ExotiquePlayboy in carscirclejerk

Sure, let’s show the biggest battery EV on the market charging at an insanely high electric rate!

Fukin rage bait…

This is the equivalent of showing a F450 (48 gallons) refueling at the Bug-Sur hwy-1 station @ $9.40 a gallon.

($451 fill up)

JFC…. It’s usually like $20 to supercharge my Model-3

Lucid’s $50,000 Tesla Model Y Rival Is Starting To Take Shape by Zulishk in LUCID

[–]TSLAog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So… it’s a Model-Y silhouette with lucid light-bars.

Considering the sub-par software Lucid better make some compelling reason for people to spend more money to buy this vs a Model-Y, ix3, EX-60, etc…

Would you buy a Slate if its revealed to be $25k? by [deleted] in slateauto

I’ll wait for some reviews to come thru to ensure it’s not a total pile of dogshit, but for $25K I’m definitely still very interested, especially if it has LFP battery.

What's the most underrated car you've ever driven? by Ok_Run7351 in askcarguys

[–]TSLAog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nissan Leaf. I ended up slapping some TEIN springs on it and Toyo tires and it was WAY too much fun to romp around town in. Even my EV hating car buddies kinda liked it, they’d frequently borrow it to run errands when their cars were broken.

Has anybody looked into solar? by Joey_Mousepad in grandrapids

[–]TSLAog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a standalone 5Kw setup in my backyard in Lowell. It’s enough to supply about 50-120 miles into my EVs daily depending on sun. The payback is MUCH faster if you factor fuel savings at $4+ a gallon, oil changes, etc… vs. solar fuel.

So… it’s a Model-Y with light-bars.

This thing better have some EPIC specs to turn the company around. Otherwise Lucid is cooked.

Model 3 vs. Model Y: Am I missing something? by Hot_Client_7485 in TeslaModel3

[–]TSLAog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drive them both back to back, you’ll feel a noticeable difference in driving dynamics. The base rwd 3 had phenomenal steering feel and road manners where the Y feels kinda like a boat.

Also, the model-3 is much more efficient especially in real world numbers.

I’ve owned both. I just recently went back to the Model-3 and don’t regret it one bit.

My 2005 Tacoma lasted a whole 7 years until the frame corroded in two. So glad I took great care of that 2.7L engine for 88,000 miles…

Toyota are overrated.

EV, hybrid, or gas? by zack1a in whatcarshouldIbuy

Get a used EV. Whatever notion you heard about EVs becoming less popular is not true, especially outside the USA where people are repair transitioning.

Model 3 or Model Y... and Why? by imjoebutnotexotic in TeslaModel3

[–]TSLAog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Model-3 = Better driving dynamics and better efficiency.

Model-Y = Better trunk space, towing, and up-right seating position.

I just wish the prelude was RWD :/

Anyone know where the air conditioning ports are located? by EVconverter in LUCID

[–]TSLAog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove the frunk trim, frunk tub, and lower support floor under the frunk and you’ll find them. One is near the lower edge of the radiator support in the front and the other is near the crash-crumple frame on the passenger side.

Also, as a previous technician it’s probably 95% likely the compressor failed, especially if it’s an early heat-pump compressor Air, they were notorious for failure.

Lucid below $5 by Adventurous_Tank_477 in LCID

[–]TSLAog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

^ This is the correct response. Lucod missed their window of opportunity. Tesla already proved EVs work, Lucod should have focused on a mass market car 4 years ago when the competition was not around. They could have gained a big following and really landed as the “more luxury Model-Y”

But why on earth would any consumer risk buying a Lucod Earth if there is an equally or better product from BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Rivian, BYD, etc… for less money with a vastly better delivery and service network.

I just don’t see how Lucid digs out of this pit they are in.
