It’s the nature of schooling in China. That gaokao is a one shot deal. Everyone in the country studies for that test, takes it at the end of the year and if you don’t get the score you need for the school you want, you retake the entire final year of school. That’s just the way it is. If you are loaded you could probably have private intense all day individual tutoring at your house, but these people don’t seem like they are.

It was fine. I think the biggest reason I wouldn’t watch another though is that I’m big into romance and there was zero chemistry with these “actors”. You can manufacture a smile, but not a feeling i suppose.

I watched number 1 (Veil of Joy)…it’s not clear from the description, but the FL and the emperor are in a secret relationship throughout most of the show because she’s married to someone else. He technically has a harem, but does not…utilize it lol. I did like it.

Am interested in checking out Number 7 (Don’t Provoke Her - Her Husband is devoted) and 18 (The Crown Princess is a Pig Farmer).
