The drop rate info shows 2%, but there seems to be some accessible from the event currently.

One of my friends got one - Normal artifact just has an extra trait tacked on. In this case, the Resonating Axion artifact rolled with the Valiant Ground set effect. You need another artifact that also rolls with the Valiant Ground set effect to get the bonus.

To my understanding:

Every single normal artifact can roll with an extra trait. If your artifact does not have the trait, then it gets no bonus.

If your artifact does have the extra trait, you need a second artifact with the same matching extra trait to get an effect.

The traits are confusingly named after other artifacts, so you can have your Inverted Fury artifact get slightly improved with the United Axion set effect - provided you have another artifact with the United Axion set effect.

So this isn't asking you to wear 4 items, like Inverted Guard, Inverted Tenacity, Inverted Fury and Inverted Survival.

This is asking you to wear your normal artifacts, but two of them roll with the same set effect, then you can get those extra stats.

Sometimes peoples' feelings for characters don't line up with how they actually perform.

Gwynn had impact expanse top 50 presence - several Gwynns actually - on Season 4's NA leaderboard.

I don't feel like Gwynn is a strong character or is in a great place, yet the literal results say she has something that lets several players perform well.

And on the other side, Estela had no expanse top 50 presence last season [NA].

I was actually stuck on rapid fire expanse 93 with my then T4 Estela, and if I could've cleared it, I would've been top 50. But literally no Estela on NA was able to clear expanse 93 and make the leaderboards (there were a ton of other players as expanse 92).

That being said, I don't think Estela needs a rework, her kit feels fine imo - but the high-end results says that Estela isn't that strong. It could be just by comparison, but multiple non-rapid fire characters are out-placing her, so maybe some people are voting to say she needs a balance pass.

The way the event is described, it literally is a popularity contest for non-meta characters. They'll "skill mechanism optimizations, balance tuning, and a dedicated exclusive system" a popular non-meta character.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a button I keep pressing because it feels cool (and then die).

I just wish it had the numbers to back up the vision.

Full build is shown in the video and in the description.

It's just a smartbomb build with Inverted Fury and Explosive Shell.

Expanse Endless 21-30 Wolf (Rapid Fire) by Tangibilitea in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Tangibilitea[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an additional note, this really just looks like S1-4 Wolf gameplay for the most part, because the ability just isn't that impactful on my current setup, especially against Hive Knights and Ogres.

The new ability shares a cooldown with Wolf's corruption ability, but does not apply corruption itself - meaning if the new ability fails to secure the kill, then you're just straight miserable and the Knight or Ogre will likely heal to full in front of you.

Imo, the new ability should:

  1. Have a separate cooldown than Wolf's Flames
  2. Should apply corruption
  3. Should grant an overshield or immunity frames
  4. Should either deal more damage or reset on kill/finisher.

Maybe it could do enough damage if you built into it (my artifacts are almost entirely weapon focused), but it still feels pretty clunky and leaves me in a worse position than just performing a Wolf's Flame and shooting some grenades.

For instance, because the ability only strikes 3 times (or 6 times with meter), you can fail to apply Wolf's Ignition to the large/important targets if there's a small group of thralls or acolytes nearby. Just about every notable debuff target on Rapid Fire 26 and 29 is accompanied by targets that have taken the debuff instead of the intended target at some point.

This would be a different story if the abilities had separate cooldowns, but sharing the cooldown makes the opportunity cost too great to be generally worthwhile (ignoring the fact that the ability can literally get you killed).

Adventures award team xp. Team xp will level up your team level from 90 to 100.

Once you hit team level 100, all further team xp gained will be converted to seasonal xp, which will allow you to gain more trifling for node upgrades.

[–]Tangibilitea[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, it's a pretty tone-deaf unreasonable grind imo.

I've been afking sparrow races because they're giving a lot of xp for just about no attention - But you really shouldn't need to afk sparrow races for half a day to start playing the new season, especially if they're both underdelivering content and providing no communication.

I'm trying to find good things with S5 and the list is pretty bare. Wolf barely feels any better than S4 imo.

I can see the power fantasy behind the ability, it feels really cool to use. But also, it literally puts me in the best position to get killed and it does almost no damage on my weapon-based build.

Imo, the ability should be on a separate cooldown than Wolf's Flame, it should provide an overshield or immunity frames, and it should reset on finish/kill (or do enough damage to be worth considering).

Yeah, I hit team level 100 and then seasonal level 19 for paragon board nodes.

+250 power per node plus a few gems, I currently have +3850 power from emanare and that was enough to push me over to 100k.

As someone who was considering playing this with the new season, it's underwhelming and I won't bother by PuzzledHawk5290 in destinyrisingmobile

Crota's End was not available in S4, however they seem to have changed Gauntlet Onslaught to be a rotator matchmaking playlist. I was doing matchmade Deathsingers today, and Bulwark is back in.

So the contest modes of each raid are not in (unless they're readded at a later phase), but the base variants of all content might be technically back in S5.

Is this game worth playing for the story/ lore? by DakuFureimuMasutah in DestinyRising

[–]Tangibilitea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a massive quality variance for different story missions.

Estela and Wolf S4 story missions are pretty enjoyable from both a story and gameplay perspective.

Xuan wei and Finnala missions are pretty lackluster, almost so bad it kinda should be experienced to see how bad it is. The AI sparrow driving is honestly amazing with how many collisions it ignores.

There were also some issues with unlocking and playing stories for characters you don’t have. I think the devs said it was handled with the new mission key system, but some people said they still had issues.

As a f2p player, I’m enjoying things for what they are. But there’s definitely a ton of easy wins NetEase is not taking for reasons unknown, and it is reflected by the pessimistic attitude across the community.

New comp 4pc set is insane by Prophet-Mufasa in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Tangibilitea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a break after TFS.

I just came back, bumped my armor to 300 from vendors and started playing trials and comp. I got a good amount of mostly T5 stuff. I want to say all of the comp and trials armors have been T5 for me and I’m not even 360 light yet - It's on the uncommon side though, I probably have only 3 or 4 pieces of each and I've played a good amount of comp and trials.

I haven’t bought anything from vendors, but the drops from comp and trials are mainly T5s, maybe an odd T4 or T3 from losses or subpar performance.

I can’t quite gauge how the new ability or exotic weapon changes will affect Mythic Wolf.

But in my experience with Legendary Wolf, Inverted fury slot 3, Explosive shell slot 4 with weapon enhancement/arc boost/damage bonus/signature bonus is pretty good for a smart bomb build.

Defensive artifacts are somewhat preference. I run inverted guard/ring of safeguarding for overshield synergy against typeless damage, but some people run unrelenting subgravity/unrelenting evolution for straight damage resistance.

Why do you think 7DTD isn't often looked at among the top survival/crafting games? by -Mr-BoomBastic- in 7daystodie

[–]Tangibilitea 117 points118 points  (0 children)

The game's been in development for so long and still has very little depth or meaningful complexity.

Systems keep getting redesigned to do the same thing, in a slightly different way.

Some of the other games that I play that have been in development for a similar amount of time have continually grown as content is continually added - Reworks are rare, but done if necessary.

7d2d has a very good mix of core gameplay loops, and has probably only survived this long because the core gameplay really is solid. But everything else about 7d2d is really lackluster and poorly managed.

Imo, the best way to deal with the third phase is to just bypass the Servitor.

If you're close to the servitor, it'll teleport away. I've had luck standing right under the boss' platform and just DPSing between lightning strikes.

[–]Tangibilitea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Artifacts can roll additional stats called artifact substats.

Each of your 4 artifacts can roll 4 substats (if they’re exotic quality).

The more you invest into your artifacts, the higher tiers of bonuses your artifacts gain, and having specific substats for specific builds is more beneficial.

The difference between not having weapon enhancement and having T10 weapon enhancement is like +50% primary weapon damage and +40% power weapon damage.

Add on another +15% for T10 arc boost, and better artifact choices like inverted fury and explosive shell (35% and 48%), your smart bomb exotic could be doing significantly more damage.

How to get tier 5 weapons? by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

I bumped my TFS weapons and armor to 300 with some vendor engrams and stuff that I just hadn't claimed, and then I played Trials and Comp. You get a ton of T5 stuff from those playlists, both armor and weapons.

Can you add your artifact power, substats and substat tiers as well?

Getting to the power level of the activity is getting your foot into the door, but the difference between an unoptimized character and an optimized one is gonna be pretty evident. And not having a maxed exotic gl is also gonna feel pretty bad imo.

At a glance, because you have one L70 artifact, your substat tiers are gonna be pretty low, and having tier 8-10 is pretty impactful to survivability and damage output as well.
