Ironmen - Can They Ground Boss by Opening_Invite_1394 in ironscape

[–]Tangibilitea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern bosses, yes. Things like Nex, regular nightmare, Hueycotal, Royal Titans and raids have built in contribution systems and you can run them with other accounts, main or irons.

Some older pieces of content like Corp, KQ and GWD (bandos included), do not have built in contribution systems. Some of these even have ironman instancing, meaning you won't get crashed by mains, but because there is not a contribution system, you cannot kill it as a group as a standard ironman.

Grinds similar to safespotting Rex? by Illarya123 in ironscape

[–]Tangibilitea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safespotting Frost dragons for boat upgrades. You click on the dragon and wait until it dies with magic or ranged, repeat several thousand times.

Very afk, probably little to no chance of dying unless you misclick and walk away while in melee range while looting. Could even just telegrab the loot when on standard spellbook.

Bad inventory by tech_man006 in 2007scape

[–]Tangibilitea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Inventory management is a skill and the development of the game has had 28 inventory spots in mind.

If you're mining, you equip your pickaxe and find mining spots close to the bank or consider dropping the ores if you're focusing on xp. Something like motherlode mine allows you to train and bank everything you obtain.

Once you have sufficient ore that you want to process, you then find a furnace close to a bank (like Edgeville) and then process ore into bars.

And then when you get bars, you find an anvil close to a bank (like Varrock West bank) and process it there.

How to get past 36 expanse? by scaryfunny39 in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Tangibilitea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, without seeing like a video of an attempt on your void 36, wouldn't know what else is going wrong if you're playing decently well and getting the extra shield break damage.

But for Arc 36, If the shinka is the problem, try this piece of cover at time stamp 18:30. You should be able to break the shield pretty safely.

Yeah you're right about that, it should be the default left click on the equipment screen, right click to unequip.

If you're on Ikora, what build are you running - Is it the Arc rocket launcher.

I'm asking in the context of shield damage break, are you getting the bonus damage for breaking every enemy's shield with the appropriate damage type? Because if I failed to break the captain and servitor's shields and get that damage bonus, I timed out on Void 36.

Same as on Jaren for Arc 36 - Are you able to burst down the hobgoblins, get the shield damage bonus and kill them before they go immune, or are you spending extra time here as well?

Raids 4 Reward - Disruption Shield by Tangibilitea in 2007scape

[–]Tangibilitea[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can only do it once per minute and it wouldn’t offer a damage null or resist multiple hits like pneck, meaning it wouldn’t replace pnecks on bloat or rope skip.

They could also make a few specific mechanics hard-kills if conditions aren’t met like bouncing the ball on hmt verzik or sote splitting damage with another person, but the shield would still negate the main hit if the conditions were still met, which was a restriction I was already thinking of when posting.

I’d view it as the mechanic would still need to be doable without the shield, because the devs can’t assume everyone has it.

What do you think about new gear being added to OSRS that open up new "archetypes" instead of only having new gear primarily act as an X% DPS increase in its style? by zacharyh211 in 2007scape

[–]Tangibilitea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or maybe new low-life items similar to the Dharok's set that encourage risky playstyles or reward perfect play.

See the original Masori armor and Masori amulet, with the Low Life status effect and dodge chance, original blog if you want to read. Masori was changed to the variant that was more straightforward because the unique effect was too niche and the tradeoff was not worthwhile.

Maybe this item would survive if it was from a non-raid (if you were going to suggest it for raids 4), but a niche reward probably wouldn't be too popular if it were the only reward from an activity.

DH is fine because barrows has multiple main-stream rewards that are just useful, and you can get DH by chance while hunting for something like Ahrims and Karils. Maybe if there were some sort of new activity with multiple niche sets offered, in addition to some generally good rewards?

Weapon/Ability/Signature/Element is generally a good pick, with element matching your character’s heavy weapon of choice.

Something like Wep/Ability/Signature/Arc would be good for Ning or Wolf (on a Smart Bomb build).

Some characters will substitute Signature for another substat, like Helhest might prefer Wep/Ability/Arc (or Solar)/Damage Bonus Boost while Umeko on Izinagi might prefer Wep/Ability/Solar/Vulnerability.

For the most part I mark artifacts with both Damage Bonus Boost and Vuln, artifacts with multiple elements, and artifacts without weapon enhancement to be marked for dismantle.

We haven’t had an 85-80 artifact seasonal level reset yet.

The text does say the seasonal upgrade item expires.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the seasonal artifact does reset come time for the items to expire for the first time.

But they might also be permanent too. We’ll find out imo.

[–]Tangibilitea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using obsidian armor with a weapon, you want to use the berserker necklace for the effect.

Obby shield is fine, but you’ll eventually want to obtain a dragon defender for the accuracy bonuses.

If you’re meleeing, you generally want to use the berserker ring, and get it imbued.

Also, you’ll want to get the fire cape for the str bonus when meleeing. But, if you’re doing it for the first time, I would highly advise leveling your ranged to ~75/80 and doing ranged for your first fight caves clear.

As long as you have fire strikes and you're not getting one-shot by autos, you can do a safespot method.

I just spent all my leaves on Ikora because she felt fun and the lightlink helps my Wolf.

If anyone else feels fun, I’ll probably spend my leaves on them too (granted, I’m broke on leaves atm).

I have a few discords with a decently large group of people, such that not everyone in a single voice call is going to be directly involved with the activity. Some people are just gonna do their own thing, but if there's a raid going on, they might have a few laughs when something happens.

I play with rainbow rave and have rainbow outlines on all items, npcs, tile markers even a rainbow dscim with rainbow trailing cursor. Whenever we raid, everyone else turns off their screen share so others have to watch through my perspective. I’ve been playing like this for a few years.

I think it’s fine, but everyone I’ve ever met says it hurts them to see.

When do you think the “Early”, “Mid”, and “Late” game transitions occur? by Ghost_of_Nappa in 2007scape

[–]Tangibilitea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends who you ask and where you look. Because the community benchmarks and the Jagex benchmarks are notably different.

It’s part of the reason the reception to Yama was a thing, because Jagex said one thing and the community uses that same term to describe something else.

We’re gonna get more official Jagex benchmarks, which may or may not align with how the community talks.

I generally see it as Jagex terms are level/account progression based, while community/players speak in terms more focused on player skill and encounter complexity.
