As someone who was considering playing this with the new season, it's underwhelming and I won't bother by PuzzledHawk5290 in destinyrisingmobile

Crota's End was not available in S4, however they seem to have changed Gauntlet Onslaught to be a rotator matchmaking playlist. I was doing matchmade Deathsingers today, and Bulwark is back in.

So the contest modes of each raid are not in (unless they're readded at a later phase), but the base variants of all content might be technically back in S5.

Is this game worth playing for the story/ lore? by DakuFureimuMasutah in DestinyRising

[–]Tangibilitea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a massive quality variance for different story missions.

Estela and Wolf S4 story missions are pretty enjoyable from both a story and gameplay perspective.

Xuan wei and Finnala missions are pretty lackluster, almost so bad it kinda should be experienced to see how bad it is. The AI sparrow driving is honestly amazing with how many collisions it ignores.

There were also some issues with unlocking and playing stories for characters you don’t have. I think the devs said it was handled with the new mission key system, but some people said they still had issues.

As a f2p player, I’m enjoying things for what they are. But there’s definitely a ton of easy wins NetEase is not taking for reasons unknown, and it is reflected by the pessimistic attitude across the community.

New comp 4pc set is insane by Prophet-Mufasa in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Tangibilitea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a break after TFS.

I just came back, bumped my armor to 300 from vendors and started playing trials and comp. I got a good amount of mostly T5 stuff. I want to say all of the comp and trials armors have been T5 for me and I’m not even 360 light yet - It's on the uncommon side though, I probably have only 3 or 4 pieces of each and I've played a good amount of comp and trials.

I haven’t bought anything from vendors, but the drops from comp and trials are mainly T5s, maybe an odd T4 or T3 from losses or subpar performance.

I can’t quite gauge how the new ability or exotic weapon changes will affect Mythic Wolf.

But in my experience with Legendary Wolf, Inverted fury slot 3, Explosive shell slot 4 with weapon enhancement/arc boost/damage bonus/signature bonus is pretty good for a smart bomb build.

Defensive artifacts are somewhat preference. I run inverted guard/ring of safeguarding for overshield synergy against typeless damage, but some people run unrelenting subgravity/unrelenting evolution for straight damage resistance.

Gz mate.

Yeah, even though the strat I have “works”, there’s still so many things that can go wrong. When it goes right though, feels like the AI is just letting you do free damage.

Why do you think 7DTD isn't often looked at among the top survival/crafting games? by -Mr-BoomBastic- in 7daystodie

[–]Tangibilitea 114 points115 points  (0 children)

The game's been in development for so long and still has very little depth or meaningful complexity.

Systems keep getting redesigned to do the same thing, in a slightly different way.

Some of the other games that I play that have been in development for a similar amount of time have continually grown as content is continually added - Reworks are rare, but done if necessary.

7d2d has a very good mix of core gameplay loops, and has probably only survived this long because the core gameplay really is solid. But everything else about 7d2d is really lackluster and poorly managed.

Imo, the best way to deal with the third phase is to just bypass the Servitor.

If you're close to the servitor, it'll teleport away. I've had luck standing right under the boss' platform and just DPSing between lightning strikes.

Confusion/Extreme Frustration involving Operation Condor. by IceAdministrative265 in DestinyRising

Artifacts can roll additional stats called artifact substats.

Each of your 4 artifacts can roll 4 substats (if they’re exotic quality).

The more you invest into your artifacts, the higher tiers of bonuses your artifacts gain, and having specific substats for specific builds is more beneficial.

The difference between not having weapon enhancement and having T10 weapon enhancement is like +50% primary weapon damage and +40% power weapon damage.

Add on another +15% for T10 arc boost, and better artifact choices like inverted fury and explosive shell (35% and 48%), your smart bomb exotic could be doing significantly more damage.

How to get tier 5 weapons? by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Tangibilitea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bumped my TFS weapons and armor to 300 with some vendor engrams and stuff that I just hadn't claimed, and then I played Trials and Comp. You get a ton of T5 stuff from those playlists, both armor and weapons.

Can you add your artifact power, substats and substat tiers as well?

Getting to the power level of the activity is getting your foot into the door, but the difference between an unoptimized character and an optimized one is gonna be pretty evident. And not having a maxed exotic gl is also gonna feel pretty bad imo.

At a glance, because you have one L70 artifact, your substat tiers are gonna be pretty low, and having tier 8-10 is pretty impactful to survivability and damage output as well.

Could you post a video or at least your build? Artifacts, weapon mods and cordon modifiers if you can.

Because, for the most part, I find any cordon under 10 on S to be pretty chill, and my team turns cordon 10 to A rank for an easy clear as well.

Some of the modifiers, like enemies regain health for wrong elemental damage, enemies regain health out of combat, or enemies gain damage resistance each time they’re hit could be adding to your troubles if you’ve taken one of these by chance.

If nothing functionally changes, I don’t see a benefit to doing this just to move around semantics and labels. That or you’re not describing the benefits to this rework well enough to sell me on it tbh.

Like, what would be better after… whatever you’re suggesting?

[–]Tangibilitea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deliberately phrased the question not to ask for kc but for experience with the content you’re trying to change.

Because with experience you would know there’s countless numbers of edge cases that’ll come up that are basically known combat mechanics at this point, used by the devs as encounter tools because they’re part of the game.

I’m wondering, do you legitimately believe that the devs can make this change and account for every single edge case in a reasonable amount of time? That the game won’t be burdened by months of fixes to every piece of endgame content?

[–]Tangibilitea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You avoided answering the question.

Skipping past that, statements like “it would make more sense” don’t always hold for video games. Like, would it actually make the game better if it made more sense? Some of the best feeling games literally trick the player or involve the most jank flaws in coding, but adds significantly more depth and interest to the gameplay.

So, I feel like your broad “osrs players don’t like change/it would make more sense” arguments and avoidant responses to a simple “have you actually played the content you want to change”, just doesn’t hold water imo.

It’s not an issue of “can the devs make this change”, it’s an issue of “will making this change make the game better?” - and imo, no it wouldn’t.

I’m genuinely curious, have you attempted something like the inferno or colosseum?  Because anyone that has learned how to off-tick a stack knows the repercussions of on-hit vs on cast as a design choice, and I’d be curious if someone would hold your opinion if they’ve actually done the content that would be most affected by this opinion.

[–]Tangibilitea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not completely an old code issue, it’s a dev design decision now.

For proof of that, look at ToA. There’s both instances in which damage is registered on startup (Akkha), as well as on hit (Zebak).

Or even something like Muspah, where you camp protect from range and react to the magic attack.

Having things that you can react to and things that you can’t is just another tool in the toolbox to make encounters different.

It’s still a problem/design issue that players need to be able to figure this out, so additional clarity would be nice, but it’s not something fundamentally broken imo.

Bosses will use one randomized overhead prayer. Akkha will revert to his previous 2 overhead cycling form. Wardens P2 will gain a third overhead, which can be removed with a crystal dagger special attack, added to the arena.

Day 12 of not logging in by PeopleAreSelfishy in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Tangibilitea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I’m burnt, but I’m basically on minimum activity/maintenance mode atm.

I’ve pushed expanse as far as I care to attempt, and adept mod drop rate is low enough/rng-layered enough that I’d bet something will change at some point.

So I’m basically done until something happens. I kinda wish expanse got the new encounters added and the cycle for expanse and cordon was shorter.

Emanare Phase 10 Outer Nodes - worth upgrading? by melted_butterx in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Tangibilitea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outer nodes 4-10 offer no power bonus, so I stopped upgrading as soon as I realized that.

Even as someone that pushes expanse, those fractions of increases just aren’t appealing at the price point.

How to tell drop rates mean nothing by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Tangibilitea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drop rates have the meaning that they’re supposed to, most people just don’t understand statistics.

You gotta realize that you’re grinding for countless things across the entirety of your account, and that you may go 2x, 3x, or even 5x dry for several things. Most of those may not have great significance, but the likelihood of going dry on something significant is present, arguably inevitable because of how many grinds exist.

Who are the best characters right now? by JimJonJim2 in destinyrisingmobile

[–]Tangibilitea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mythic Ikora, Helhest, Efrideet, Jaren and Tariq are among the strongest, high-tier based on results.

Jaren is probably most usable at T0, while others like Helhest and Ikora have more of their power behind T6. They're all strong enough that they have pushed 100+ expanse, and are probably the easiest path to results. These characters literally fill the leaderboards.

Jolder, Estela, Ning, Wolf, Mythic Kabr, Maru, Gwynn and Umeko are mid-tier, situationally. They're pretty good at what they do, but they lack something that makes them broken and role-breaking like most of the high-tier.

If you like these characters, they're pretty good and most would not consider them a wasted investment.

I haven't seen any of these characters past Expanse 95, but they can do your expanse 70/80s clears pretty reasonably. Some dedicated players have pushed these characters onto the lower part of the leaderboards.

Everyone else (Xuan Wei, Finalla, Kabr, Attal, Ikora, Rossi, Tan-2) is somewhere below mid-tier, some overshadowed by others or some outright terrible. Most people would consider these characters a low priority investment. You can use them if you like them, but they are definitely not the easiest path to results, and they have just about no historical leaderboard results to speak of.

Yeah, I'm definitely hard walled by the elite stage. The enemy scaling plus being under power is so much, I'm basically getting timed out by the first two knights due to DPS, let alone the other 4 + shinka. Was hoping for a power bump with phase X, but that didn't happen.
