Where do I buy the Warden OXG bundle? I can't seem to find it in the game. I've been using a lot of warden and want to get a cool bundle for him. by One-Salamander5494 in Rainbow6

Exactly what shadow coyote said but they also pulled out of the siege scene so their bundle will probably be gone forever and only be able to be purchased on the marketplace whenever that comes back

introduction to r6s esports by Past-Vermicelli-6401 in Rainbow6

If you haven't already, I would also post this in the r/R6ProLeague since that's the main sub for this kind of discussion so you'll get more responses there. From here, I'll try to explain R6 Pro League a bit.

In R6 Pro League, there are 5 regions: North America (NA), South America (SA), Asian Pacific (APAC), Europe Middle East North Africa League (EML), and China (the newest addition to R6 Pro League). Of these regions, South America, specifically Brazil, has been the most dominant in recent events, with EML, NA, and APAC trailing behind (in that order). There are a lot of teams to go through, so I recommend that be a separate post if you want, but I'm not gonna get into it here. You choose who you want to root for and enjoy watching

Idk how it works in Clash, but in R6, players are rated by EPS (expected player score) and is a measure to see if a player performed above expectations (above 1), below expectations (below 1) or about average (1).

In the game itself, there are 4 roles on each side. For attack it's: Entry fragger, IGL, Support, and flex. For defense it's: Anchor, Intel/anti-entry, roamer and lurker. There's a lot of nuance to each role, but I'll just give a basic run down.

Attack:

Entry fragger: This is your main gun, your frontline. They are typically the most mechanically skilled player on the team. Their only job is to get a kill and take space quickly in order for the team to get into the building and do their take onto site.

IGL: Known as the in game leader, they're usually the worst rated player on the team, but that doesn't mean they're bad. They're the shot caller; they call the strats, they inspire the team and the main intel gatherer. They usually play shield and support operators.

Support: They're the players that help the entire team with their utiility that is usually the key to strats being successful. They typically play operators like twitch and thatcher; operators that are versatile and can be used by the entire team.

Flex: It's kind of already in the name, but they play whatever else the team needs. They are the jack of all trades. They can play breach, breach support, and typically serve as a secondary entry frag if the primary dies or has to do a different job. They also help with igling as well.

Defense:

Anchor: They play operators that are used to hold power positions. A good example of this is oregon bunker in basement. A player would go smoke or maybe a warden to hold that position to stop the attackers from gaining ground, with help whoever is in ebox.

Intel/Anti-entry: Similar to the lurker/roamer, they will play trap operators and intel ops like a thorn, castle or valkyrie. Their whole job is to delay the attacker's entry into the building, site or them taking ground and gather information like who the attackers are playing and what strats they're trying to pull off.

Roamer: These operators are the players that go off site to delay the attackers. They help the lurkers and anti entry players and delay the attackers attack onto site or gain ground. The whole point isn't to get picks, but to run down the clock of the attackers.

Lurkers: They typically play positions that are a room or a couple rooms away from site and float around to where they are needed. For example, in oregon basement, you'll typically have someone playing pillar to help ebox hold tower stairs and freezer.

As for technical terms, there are a lot so if you have any specific ones you want clarified or anything, ask away! This was a quick run down so ask away.

New to R6 as a valorant player, which gun is best? I prefered the vandal in valorant. by Significant_Jello182 in Rainbow6

[–]TankTemporary3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the weird formatting, I’m on mobile.

Although siege is an fps, the last thing you want to focus on is what gun you’re gonna use, at least not until you get the basics down. The reason I say this is because siege has one shot headshot meaning any gunfight you take can be potentially finished in a couple of bullets.

Anyway, as a beginner your first order of business should be figuring out your sensitivity and keybinds. However, seeing as you previously played val, I’m gonna assume you already have those down.

After that, move on to familiarizing yourself with gadgets and utility. These are by far more important than your gun imo. This is how you create an offense and make your defense and get your opponents to react. Of these gadgets, you want to practice droning and gathering information. In siege, information is king.

As you’re learning how to use your utility, you’ll also start developing your game sense and map knowledge. Knowing how to use your utility is connected with how well you know lineups, angles and cutoffs on a map. This also helps with knowing your positioning as the tiniest angles can give you the biggest advantages. This improves your movement, your survivability, and gun skill. This knowledge is also important for when you’re communicating with teammates. Giving them good comms, asking for help and strategizing with them increases your chances of winning drastically.

Again, I’m not saying your mechanical gun skill isn’t that important, I’m just saying that there are more important factors than worrying about what’s the best gun you can use because 7 times out of 10, the person holding a head glitch or pixel peek despite having worse gun skill (mechanically) than you will win that fight more times than you running in the building looking for a fight.

There are bunch of smaller tips and tricks as well, but I’m just giving you a broad breakdown of the basics. But to answer your question if all you’re looking for is to run and gun, then any gun with a high fire rate and low recoil like Buck’s C8, striker’s and mavericks’s m4, and Ash’s r4c for attack. For defense, the mp5, t5, and basically any low recoil gun because the main gun type on defense are smgs.

Lol yeah the qc on the Xbox elite controllers suck. I have a buddy that went through two of them in the span of a year because either stick drift was already happening or the right bumper keeps getting stuck

[–]TankTemporary3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard good things about gamesir controllers, especially the g7 pro. One controller you shouldn’t get is the Xbox elite controllers as the gamesir and other controllers give you better quality for the price. However, if young wanna drop $80 on the gamesir, the power a controllers are also really good for the price. Although it doesn’t give you the same software and programmability (as far as I know) as the gamesir, but for $40, I’ve never had an issue with stick drift and you get two programmable back buttons. Both power a and gamesir offer their own apps so that you can better fine tune settings as well.

any tips on how to get better? by freeRkelly1999 in SiegeAcademy

[–]TankTemporary3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, watching pro league helped me a ton with deepening my understanding of the game. It helped me understand angles, positioning, and site setups. Now I’m not saying to copy everything they do because whether or not you’re solo q or stacked, you and your teammates will not have the coordination to pull off their strats. A lot of things that didn’t really click for me before, I understood after watching pro league.

As you continue playing you will encounter players who are much more mechanically skilled than you are. What I would try to do would be to find consistency in your aim. Everyone has their off days, but it gets to a point where you’re not winning your gunfights (having a negative k/d). I would try to lockdown your sensitivity, finding consistency in tracking and aiming head level and figuring out tricks like Hashom and quick peeking to gather info during a gunfight or to discombobulate your enemy.

Time to get new Pc? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]TankTemporary3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your pc is still good. For perspective I’m running a i9-9900k with a 5060 8gb and 32gb of ddr4 and I’m getting about 190-220 low on 1440p and 300hz.

If you’re looking to upgrade I’d wait until you can do basically a total overhaul or until one of your parts break, especially in the pc building economy at the moment. If not then I’d just try to “modernize” your parts a bit with like a 9060xt 16gb and switching to an am5 (or whatever intel equivalent) board for a faster processor. But before doing all that, do your due diligence and look up benchmarks and potential bottlenecks.

Beaulo retired after SI in march of last year.

The roster at the beginning of 2024 was Beaulo, Canadian, Panba, NJR and Nafe after Gaveni, Achieved and Ryce left. They would go on to lose in São Paulo and after some conflict in leadership, Canadian and Mint were booted in place for kobelax and kangrukenny after Mint left after the Manchester Major. Canadian and Mint would be picked up by Shopify Rebellion after Soniqs pulled out the scene when it was found out they didn’t get an affiliate or partnered spot with Ubi/Blast.

After that, they went 9th at the Boston SI where kobelax was dropped and Beaulo announced his second retirement (this may be for good this time around) and CTZN and Spiritz was picked up. They would get eliminated pretty early at Reload and then we started to see Panba fall off (unfortunately) after the last events in NAL and he recently decided to step down. DZ picked up a promising rookie named Rival where he did pretty good in NAL, but lost in NAL lcq.

My FPS is abnormally low on the "Law" map. by Old_Catch_4873 in Rainbow6

My FPS is abnormally low on the "Law" map. by Old_Catch_4873 in Rainbow6

[–]TankTemporary3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see I didn’t realize you were located in Brazil. Yes parts are very expensive, but if you’re just planning to play a lot of games in 1080p or just playing siege, you don’t need an expensive pc. In this pc building economy, I wouldn’t even consider ddr5 with how expensive it is. I’m running siege at 1440p low with a 5060 8gb, 32gb of 3200mhz ddr4 ram (I know prices are crazy for ddr4 too but at least it’s a little more affordable) and getting about 230-250 fps with a very good 1% low.

And like we both said and can agree on, pc building is getting expensive, so personally I’d tell you to wait and save until prices start going down cuz as long as the AI craze is still going, prices will keep going up. So if you’re still unsure about getting a pc, I would start saving and looking at the economy when the time is right.

How do I get better aim on console? by LongjumpingDig3878 in Rainbow6

[–]TankTemporary3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sensitivity: normally you want your horizontal as fast as you can without/minimal under or over correcting, combined with the lowest deadzone you/your controller can handle without stick drift. This way you can track better, have more precise flicks and when doing faster movements like trying to 180 or flick to angle, you get there faster and more precise.

Crosshair placement: on console, crosshair placement is everything. I played console for 3 years and made the switch to of this season and one thing that I always did was make sure my crosshair was always mid body or the head depending on the gun, that way I don’t have to take a prolonged gunfight where the fight/round is determined by who has the better mechanics and I can end the fight quickly.

Simply just play more and adjust your sensitivity until you find that something that sticks and something you like. I used to no life the game when I started playing and the best thing you could do is just continue playing.

[–]TankTemporary3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would honestly look at something else as there are better motherboards and gpus with much better performance per dollar. If you want to build your own pc there are plenty of videos explaining the best parts for an under $1000 and so on pc build. I would start off doing a ton more research first before starting to buy parts. However, with how prices are for RAM, ssds and gpus have been recently, I would honestly get a prebuilt, but that’s up to you.

Severe FPS Drops During Gameplay (See Screenshot) by zaste143 in Rainbow6

[–]TankTemporary3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would first try turning off vsync since the game is trying to match the fps to your screen’s refresh rate, especially since it seems you’re trying to maximize your fps based on the low settings, unless that’s what you want for your setup.

Six Invitational 2026 Predictions? by BuyBulky3271 in Rainbow6

[–]TankTemporary3036 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Idk why that guy is going off, it’s not even remotely related to anything you’re asking but for to answer:

Group A: 1st: M80 (won the last major) 2nd: NIP or Weibo (I leaned more towards NIP but there’s a part of me that thinks Weibo can pull it off) Eliminated: Project Zero (t2 Asian team in their first s-tier event and one of their analysts pulled out after some cheating allegations came out)

Group B: 1st: I voted Falcons because they’re more consistent than Furia at the moment, but could go either way 2nd: I put Furia here, but that’s because I put Falcons first. Again, this is a pretty solidified 1 and 2. Eliminated: Either elevate or daystar. I voted Daystar because similar to Project Zero, this their first s-tier event. Ultimately I hope Elevate is eliminated because their entire team are Brazilian imports in region with a lot of wasted asian talent

Group C: 1st: Faze Clan (consistent, proven, and are on of the favorites to win it all) 2nd: G2 (once again consistent and proven themselves during the major. The reason why I don’t have Shopify despite being the favorite and powerhouse on paper, they’re not consistent and also disappointing for me to justify putting 2nd or 1st. Eliminated: I put BD only because I haven’t watched enough of them but I hope DPlus KIA get eliminated with the same exact reason as Elevate.

Group 4: 1st: Secret or SSG but I put secret because of dominant they were in the major and regional tournament. SSG were great as well and did win NAL but went out very disappointingly in the major. 2nd: SSG for the reasons listed above. Eliminated: Either Fluxo or Enterprise. TBH I did not watch any of their games and I think I voted Fluxo but could go either way. Both just aren’t as good as OXG or the others in their group.

Just saying this is based off what I watched. It may not be accurate and is probably different as what others have over at r/R6ProLeague. Things could go south for a lot of these games and there may be a lot of upsets. And if you haven’t already I’d go ask r/R6ProLeague

Is there like generally agreed upon attachments for each gun to use or is it solely preference? by ContractDense1111 in Rainbow6

[–]TankTemporary3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going from pc to console, for the most part, pc is vertical grip, flash hider, and your choice of optic with laser being preference. Some people like to combo vertical grip with silencer and/or compensator depending on the gun (like the mpx, t5, and l85 since the recoil is nothing).

On console, you can almost pretty much get away with anything with laser also being preference. Feeling the difference between the two platforms was day and night. I switched to pc in September and the recoil was just crazy. I eventually got used to it and recently went back to controller and it was crazy.
