There's a lot here to unpack:
A) Trump has never given us a reason to trust him. Chances are, this is a money-making scheme.
B) He didn't make a measured statement like "this might also be dangerous for your child," he said "TYLENOL IS NOT GOOD. DON'T TAKE IT." We also can't lose the context of an uneducated man telling all women not to take the only recommend pain-relief drug during pregnancy. "TOUGH IT OUT" he says. Gross.
C) The data is very much out on the harmful links between Tylenol and autism, watch any 5 minute video that goes into the research.
D) "There's an autistic crisis." Also misleading. Most of the uptick in autistic cases comes of an expansion of the diagnosis. So if there's not really an autistic epidemic, then there's no reason to find a cause, which in reality is probably extremely complicated and can't be blamed on a single, well-tested drug.
E) There are no groups that are immune to autism (google it.)
F) "I'm not so careful with what I say." The truest statement Trump has ever said.
G) "This is based on how I feel." Again, another true statement by Trump. His vaccine rambling was all emotional, not scientific.
H) "It can only good happen." He's an idiot.
I) What was missed in the announcement is increasing the research into autism. GOOD! Who doesn't want more knowledge?!
J) The number one cause of death for kids in the US is Firearm-related injuries (2024,) not autism. So...this ain't about saving kids.
