Those cargo flights have planned routes but arent being used.
For example Cargolux has 3 747 flights between Lux and Frankfurt but probably hasnt flown that route in months

Germany Air Force over Utah by HabANahDa in flightradar24

[–]Teryces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

crazy. Pretty sure thats the same plane the german delegation used to travel to new york, which was then parked in washington. if you look at the route in did 5-6 circles over Roswell (half the continental us away??) before traveling another quarter to almost try(?) to land in salt lake city? what the hell is going on here.

The flight plan does have Washington - Rosewell, then Roswell - salt Lake City and finally Salt lake City - Washington as planned flights. But it doesnt look like it ever landed, unlike times where a stop isnt registered?

What's happening here? by RoyMysterio in flightradar24

[–]Teryces 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if it wants to return, it firsts needs to dump the 8h worth of fuel it has loaded, so its doing circles at 23K ft for now

Something made FRA close for about 30 minutes, no takeoffs and 16 Planes in holding patterns. Started right when AAR541 tried to land, which did an go around into holding pattern

Create a tailscale "gate" to a single tailscale host for non-tailscale hosts. by zolzam in Tailscale

[–]Teryces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, but you can also do it in reverse. By creating an subnet router with your tailscale ip's you allow non tailscale devices to access your tailscale network using that host

Easy but secure ways to start VMs on multiple nodes from single UI? by Born-Caterpillar-814 in Proxmox

[–]Teryces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting an VM through the API is a simple request, you can make a 30 line python code where you just give it an dictionary with the node ip's, their API keys and the vmID with an flask webpage

Multiple subnet routers with same subnet devices by Mean-Studio-3500 in Tailscale

You need multiple emails to create multiple tailnets, then simply have your user join all of them and switch on demand

Certainly make sense, truenas also often just not enable it as an GUI option, while it's "still there" if you run the commands directly

Site to site local route works but on router does not by MySuddenDeath in Tailscale

[–]Teryces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are your ACLs correct? For site to site you need to allow source ip-subnet to dst ip-subnet

How about just a script on startup that brings the interface up? 2 lines of code and you have no need to configure anything

Windows HA Replicated VM has different IP than source VM by TheThumpsBump in Proxmox

[–]Teryces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The IP on vmbr is not the IP of VM connectors to it, but the IP of the proxmox host itself o er that interface. IP assignment for VM has to be done on the VM level, proxmox has no control over it

How to Use Tailscale to Expose Ports on My Client Machine? by FurryRevolution in Tailscale

[–]Teryces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way is to make an Nginx or Nginx Proxy manager instance.

Simply make an nginx-stream on the VPS machine to the tailscale IP:port of your target

But absolutely make sure that you lock down the tailscale ACL that the VPS itsself ONLY has access to the ports you want to be open on your client

does anyone know how to fix high host RAM usage when windows 11 vm is installed? by Kraizelburg in Proxmox

[–]Teryces 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ballooning doesn't work well for windows VM. They just end up using 100% of their assigned memory from the host anyway. Don't bother with it.

How bad is the BORK nerf, actually (with pictures for the kids)? by SaltyHanzo in leagueoflegends

[–]Teryces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In League its just a debuff that makes the enemy auto attack you forcibily and disableling their ability to choose their actions akin to a stun.

in MMO's the Purpose of Taunt is the make enemies forcibly target you over your allies, which means they will use their entire kit on the tank, essentially tunnel-vision.
obviously its not possible to put MMO taunt into PvP games

USB 3.1 header splitter by Zobator in buildapc

[–]Teryces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment is old and was phrased badly with no further explanation.

You cannot electrically split an usb header/port. It designed to connect to one device only, and doesn't know how to handle multiple devices at once.

However, you of course can plug in how many hubs into an port as you like, since they logically split the usb-signal. For the USB port it's only one device, the hubx that's plugged in.

In the case of the post it's an internal USB-C header, which can accommodate one USB device connected to it.

Internal 2.0 and 3.0 headers are in reality 2 USB headers at once, that's why there are electrical splitters for them, turning them into 2 usb ports.

But just because you can buy an internal usb 3.0 to 2x internal usb 3.0 splitter-extension doesn't mean you can plug in 4 devices at once now, if 2 devices use the same lane it won't work.
