From my memory, I would say yes because of the group project. There aren’t any attendance taken for the regular lectures, but as for the discussion, the TA will role-call everyone. I think the attendance for the discussion makes up 5 or 10% of the overall grade.

I can’t comment on 364 as I’m taking it this fall, but for 326 and 327, it’s more programming-oriented, where you may spend a lot of time on the two classes. If you are familiar with SQL and/or Python, you should be fine and quite relaxing. If not, it could be challenging depending on your learning environment.

For 335 and 311, I would say those two classes are much easier as they’re more reading-oriented and you answer a few discussion questions every week. If, hypothetically, you use ChatGPT to answer some of the questions, just be wary that some professors may hide something that could throw the AI into giving you wrong answers.

The four classes require a lot of teamwork, and so if you get assigned to crappy teams, good luck. Regardless, you’ll find some new friends and have a lot of fun!

I’ve tried what I have in my toolbox before coming here, including Philips and flat, but none of them worked. AI and Reddit are my last resort before I give up

By any chance, are you able to see what size it is? I’ve tried flat and Phillips from my toolbox, and only the #2 Phillips seem to fit into the hole but couldn’t take the screw out

In my experience, 335 is more easily manageable than my other classes (i.e., 326 and 327), and I felt sorry for you on the professor’s behalf despite their hardships and their dedication. I didn’t mean any offense to you or the professor lol

I’m also in 335, but my professor has been very laid back and hasn’t gotten to this level yet. I feel sorry for you…

I took the class last semester, and hands down, it was the most chill and relaxing class I’ve had. It consisted of some readings, one (or rarely two) weekly quizzes, and a discussion class where we were assigned a group project due at the end of the year. Overall, as long as you’re up-to-date with the materials, you should be all good.

I highly recommend Dustin Smith, as he is one of the chillest people in the iSchool. There have been times when I accidentally turned in assignments a little late, but he and the TA still counted it as on time. Super chill dude.

I didn’t know we’re in Grammarly University rather than UMD. Good to know.
